Would go for an electronic, you can shoot faster and its the future. Would also consider a Dragun Bottomline vs the Speedster. Dragun is a known company and I got a bottomline that works great. It is cheaper than the speedster as well, and you get a plastic suitcase (carrying case) with foam included.

are you going to be using the marker at a site or in a game situation, cause most sites won't let you use a electronic marker, cause it would be unfair on the other players. (don't make the mestake i made when i first started)
My first and only marker is a Tippmann 98c which has a mechanical trigger.
It's perfect for all punter days as sites either use them already or use Inferno's which are pretty much on par with them.
The good points are that they're extremely robust and reliable, but the downside is that they're quite an average gun.
Fire rate isn't anything special compared to a set up electronic trigger.
What kind of games do you play the most? If you attend walk-on days or tournaments then an electronic trigger is a must to at least try and compete against the Shockers, Impy's etc.
If you turn up to punter days at sites that let you use your own marker against newbies then it'll almost definately have to be a mechanical trigger.
You can often pick up a secondhand mechanical trigger marker cheaply as people sell their second markers all the time, but then again FatBobs has loads of scarily inexpensive electronic markers!!
Decisions decisions :)
