I hate direct x 9 why did they need another one. I have max payne 2 and commandos 3 and niether will run but the demo for Commandos 3 works fine. Is there anyone who knows why this is so. I've updated my graphcs card to a 5600fx and downloaded the new drivers but no joy.

Well,

Does it throw up any error messages when trying to run ?
What's the spec of your machine ?
Have you tried re-installing DX9 ?
Have you tried removing C3 demo then re-installing the full game ?

For Max Payne give this link a try:

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the link however so far no luck. I just seem to have some expensive coasters at the moment. 6 shiny coasters in total. Next time i'm buying from Game. I'll just have to stick to shooting people with paintballs instead of VR which means playing in this wet and cold weather. Ah well no rest for the wicked. PS i'm planning on going to NPF in Birmingham end of the month if anyone else is going we could at least get the numbers up.

Sorry to hear that mate :(

Saying that Max Payne runs so slow on my system which is pretty current

I'm heading over to NPF this Sunday as I'll be on holiday the week after for a few weeks so I won't be able to make the end of month one

Right problem solved and got some new ones instead. Reinstalled XP and with it all the XP original Problems so in the process of reinstalling stuff and downloading 101 patches to make it work right. If I find the one that causes new direct x 9 not too work I will tell the world till then bugger computers and give me an E-blade on my Cocker santa so I can blow this PC to kingdom come.
