2+ years ago, manufacturers of paintball markers supplied base markers. ie. the absolute basic needed to actually fire the marker.

There were lots of upgrades available for these markers (expansion chambers, regulators, venturi bolts etc). Then over the last couple of years the manufacturers started to add these upgrades as standard.

The RG is a case in point. Virtually every upgrade that can be put onto a marker is already on it.

Aftermarket barrels are usually the best upgrade available (and make the most difference in terms of performance). The RG however has a really good barrel already.

I think in terms of an upgrade for an RG, you would be best running it on air. The change to an air system would make it perform more consuistantly in terms of velocity, especially during the winter months.

Upgrading and tweaking your marker are part of the fun of paintballing and marker ownership. These manufacturers are spoiling all the fun.

But all is not lost, we still have the ultimate in upgradable and messing about marker available.......The Autococker!!
