View Full Version : tippmann a-5 RT
thinking of getting a-5 anyone give me their views on the RT, does it really help? eat much gas or just use excess?
thanks
iv got an A5 and its a really good marker but yes it does use more gas than other markers. i refill my bottle half way through the day to make sure i dont run out in a game. the RT is quite good as if u put the correct presure on it the gun acts as on auto and you start firing off 10-15 ball per sec!

I have an A5 with an rt on.
yes it eat gas but it is fun just to see the angel and tricked up coker guyes faces when you shoot them out.
the A5 is a bullet proof marker take it out the bag stick in some paint and gas an away you go, and at the end of the day you just have to give it a blast with a good hose or pressure washer and a couple of drops of oil and away you go till next time.
just a word though if you get an A5 and flat line you will nead to turn the rt down along with the vulocity of the marker so as not to brake balls in the barell, also when you get your A5 on the bottom of the feader there should be an (A) stamped on it if there is not contact tippman (i cant mind dialing code for us but tippmans num is 12607496022)and ask for the upgrade kit which thay will post foc to you in the uk.
if you get A5 give us a shout and i will give you some mods you can do for a shorter triger pull and an even higher bpm than 15.
Happy hunting

i have the 98c with the r/t. any tricks for me? i have an electric hopper. max bps 18. polished internals, drop forward,anti-siphon tubes, 10 piece barrel kit. anything to help me out ?
18bps and you're STILL not happy?? :p
My 98c's on standard internals and it's probably around 5-7bps (or whatever a standard one is). RT coming soon but I'd be happy just to double what I've got!
I was under the impression the RT was powered by excess gas and didn't sap any extra from the bottle?

hey nic watch out 4 that burning torch
bye the way that home anodising thing is crap
(dont know if i tried it with chrome or allay though)
the response trigger does use the excess gas, as does the cyclone on the A-5. Velocity for a Flatline should be between 264 and 270 bps for best performence. Use smaller to medium paint with the F.L. and it hates the cold, it'll rip just fine with the r/t all the way up in warmer weather.
