View Full Version : Tippmann Custom Pro Q's
Okey Dokey, first thing first i'm new here so i thought i'd do a little introduction:
My name is Mike, i'm 14, have been paintballing 6 times and decided that the Tippmann 98 (which is the gun my local paintballing place hires out) isn't really that great, and am looking to buy my own gun.
After a quick browse on t'internet i have decided to buy a Tippmann Custom Pro ACT with E-Grip.
This works out at around £110 (Actually $219 as i am ordering from America), and i have plenty of spare cash so decided a few upgrades would be in order.
The 2 most obvious seem to be the Flatline barrel and the pro cyclone feed system, so these 2 have been added onto the wishlist.
My questions are: If i have the 'Pro cyclone feed system' do i have to/can i use hoppers made for the A-5?
And
Can anyone recommend a gun sight for the Custom Pro?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

Sorry, not answering the questions you asked, but do consider importing a marker a bit more. You save at first by importing, but will get import duties and carrier fees on top. This starts with VAT at 17.5%.
You will usualy find yourself spending the same or more than buying in the UK. Plus you lose any practical use of your warranty, as the warranty is with the American supplier not UK suppliers.
Check out the websites of UK suppliers and where they aren't offering the deal you are after phone them and ask what they can do for you.
Obviously Fat Bobs as we are on his forum:

But also take a look around a few others:

Unless your ordering something unique or special (ie: Rare) do not order from America.
Welcome to the forums.
Yes you can use A5 hoppers and it depends on your budget. However:

Anything from Dye will be quality.

PS Being 14 there are legal implications of buying a marker.
http://www.met.police.uk/firearms-enquiries/airguns1.htm
It is illegal for you to be sold the marker, so your parents will have to buy it. It is illegal for them to give it to you, but you can have access to it in certain circumstances.
You can have it on private premises/land and at paintball sites. It is illegal for you to have it in your possesion when travelling so you will need to be with an adult when travelling and they will have to be the possessor.
In reality nothing is going to happen and of course you will have the marker paked away and no-one will ever see that you are carrying a marker.
(Public transport is a different matter. They are not allowed to be carried at all, though people do.)
However should you be noticed by the police and bag checked then you may have it confiscated.
