Right myself and a few guys do pointball in Suffolk as our main site but go to Norfolk and London etc and have a problem that the local site only has air based markers.

My Tippman A5 is set to Co2 - being a bit of a div how do I get it so it will run on either?????

Also I have an empty or seems empty Co2 cylinder that I want to fit a on/off valve to - I have the valve do I just take the old one out and fit the new one in?????????

Thanks guys/girls

For air systems have a read of these posts:

(Just shows how the search function can answer most simple questions)

Secondly, what do you mean by seems empty? If you are not even sure if the bottle is empty, then I'd suggest you get someone who knows what they are doing to fit the on/off valve for you. If you fit it incorrectly you can end up with leaks etc which are bad news.

Hope that helps!

First of all the site with the air probably has 3000psi preset bottles, these are preset to around 800psi. Co2 runs at around 800psi so you will just be able to screw the air bottle straight in with no modifications.

To change the valve, just unscrew the old one and screw in the new, one drop of thread lock is a good idea but no more.

If you have an anti syphon tube fitted to the valve, look on the Tech Help part of the web site for a step by step guide on how to re fit it.

if you are going to a walk on day at a site that only use air and have preset air bottles they sometimes rent them out for a day for a couple of quid or so. why not contact them and ask them.

Hey at the time I had never even looked into Air as an option and had to take his word for it that it would not work.

Now I know and have just brough an Air system for the gun. Trouble is if you are new to Paintball you have to rely on what your told.
