View Full Version : decline
Is it just me or is the number of cocker owners declining? Why? i love cockers they are superb (sp) pieces of kit that barely ever go wrong (unless you tinker too much) but they are so reliable. my eblade can keep up with modern markers pretty well.
well planet are more then happy to service any form of eblade for £5 and when i asked about upgrading to a zero b they said they'd do it for £75. Bargin. And i think belsales will service cockers but i've got to double check
Trouble is, too many people are jumping on the band wagon, or giving in to peer pressure, and getting them selves new markers, like the Ego, Ion etc. I wonder how many of these will still be around when they have been on the scene as long as Cockers and Mags. Nothing wrong with any of the new markers on the market today, but will they stand the test of time like the Bud Orr machine has done?
There are more out there than you think. Mine still does what what it was built for, even with a stock WGP body.
i thionk it's the fact that cockers are tinkering machines! once you've got one you've just got to find out what will happen when you do this that or the other. then you go one step to far, bugger it up and can't be bothered to either fix it yourself or get someone else to fix it. (i'll always plump for the second option as im rubbish at fixing things...but really good at the buggering up part!) then that person says oh their really bad markers because they break down easily.

well 1 of my markers is a mech cocker and its the most accurate thing i,ve ever used(just not very fast),so i bought a eblade with zero b fitted, its fast but keeps fooking up,so i rang planet and asked about a service and the bloke on the phoned quoted me £45 to do it,maybe i asked the wrong questions:(
i may have miss heard the £5 thing but i'll find out today whent they phone me with a quote :)

Because...
*drum roll*
WGP would be dead already if it werent for planet, its just a prolonged death that and all the third party manufacturers moving onto different gats and WGP doing very little since their best ever marker (karni) and being bought out doesnt bode well for them as they have done little innovation in years.
