HI

I am a kind of newbie to paintball alothough I know quite a lot about it. I was thinking of getting the Diablo bonedaddy RG ready to play kit and I have a budget of 170 pound. Has anybody got any advice on what to get and if they have a Diablo bonedaddy RG tell me what it is like

What do you intend to do with it. I mean are you looking just for a marker to impress other newbies at your site or do you want to use it for bigger and better things like tourneys. Personally with that sort of budget I'd get a Silver Bullet just cos their really shiny but I now have aN Eclipse Autococker and an Angel Fly both of which need fixing but ho hum. For reliability you can't get better than an Inferno. There really isn't anything that can go wrong with it but the odd air leak. I even dropped mine in a stream, picked it up squeeged it out and carried on playing.

As the other comment states it depends on what you are planning to do with it if you just want something for shooting your mates in the local woods with which is how I started then you will want to find out how difficult it is to get your co2 tank filled you may be better off buying the airsource disposable kits of fat bobs instead. If you are planning to go to walk ons and torneys then you will need a co2 tank.

If you go for the first option this of course means you can afford a slightly better marker in the short term.

Now to the markers my mate has a Bonedaddy GT which is very similar to the RG The main pros with it are that it is very reiable and it is fairly easy to strip the cons are that it is cheaply built especially the trigger frame and the velocity seems to constantly be to high and the adjuster seems to do sod all on his anyway.

My first gun was the Rebel 02 BTB which you can also get from fat bobs for basicly the same price the pros with it are that again it seems to be very reliable and the build quality of ot is far superior to that of the bonedaddys it actually looks and feels like a propper gun and not a toy infact its even better built than my JT ecelerator 6.0 the cons are that for a newbie it is quite dificult to strip so if you get one message me and I will give you some advice on it.

The Paradoxes are also well built and reliable markers personally I would go for the MFI over the bonedaddy RG because of the build quality and finish.

My personal options

If you want a co2 tank go for this kit

Rebel 02 BTB or Para MFI + upgrade to combo deal @ £130/£120
The V Force armour field system @ £15
From Fat Bobs

If you want the airsource kits option you then buy the other above items except the gun and combo deal you then want a hopper and you can afford a slightly better gun like a tipperman 98.

P.S Dont forget ebay I just picked up a brand new jt excelerator on there for the fantastic price of £145.

Hope this helps
