So the next Genesis 5 man woodland event will be the 27th May. That's only 2 weeks so if you would like to play, please contact Steve Bull asap.

After that, the next woodland 5 man is the 17th June, again this will be Wakefield.

The next Ionman event in Newcastle is the 15th July

The next Genesis event will then be in August, date to be arranged.

If there is no interest in the 27 May tournament then for those who fancy something different we will have a half and half day - In the morning we will split the players into "teams" and run a LASER TAG event - don't knock it it is great fun, and in the afternoon (I have laser bookings so need the gear) we will have a "walk on" afternoon. I would need about 30-40 to make it a fun day.

No need to be in teams it will be an individual-walk on style event!!

Cost £12.50 a player including lunch - now that is a bargain (£15 for non UKPSF or NPC members)

{Please note this is a SPECIAL offer event it is not a price cutting deal - idea is to reward players who play mine, Andy's and Chris's events}

Bully
18-05-2007, 07:38
Tony - you have the dates mixed up the "care centre day trip to Bridlington is the 27 June not 27 May so your team can make the event.

OK - an update - Laser tag is more family friendly than paintball so if any player wants to bring their son-daughter-wife or girlfriend to the morning session then it is £5 per player for the laser tag session (no lunch incl) or £7.50 with lunch or even £12.50 if they want to stay and play paintball in the afternoon.

Age limits - 12 years old apply !! or in the case of Venom - max age 70

Steve

We need a list to see if the paintball section is viable - Andy needs to know to see if it is viable for air.

Playing - Copy and Paste

Steve Bull - laser tag only

Bully
18-05-2007, 12:29
Laser tag will happen if we get 20+players - paintball we will need 40+ to make it worth Andy bringing the air rig.

If it is just a laser tag event then we can play 10-2.00 as my afternoon group don't start until 2.00pm. I will work a costing based on just laser tag and lunch.

Lets get some families involved in the laser tag part as it will make your life easier when you next inform the misses "I'm off to paintball and will be spending £100 quid today is that OK!!!"

Sorry folks but it is cancelled.

Partly lack of teams but I would anticipate some teams who have booked in might have player problems as it is Fathers Day and some might have other things to do on Sunday.

Thank you to Eric and the Destiny crew who had agreed to marshal the event.

If you are looking to have an eveing of FUN on Thursday then come down to our Wakefield site as we are having a laser tag team tournament - individual event with a difference - FREE

For those teams who were booked in for the tournament this weekend, which as you know has now been cancelled.

If any team would like to have an informal tournament/training day instead at YPC I will set out some tournament fields.

No entry fee, just bring your own paint. Start at 10am so not too early.

Any teams interested please post below.

Good man Steve. Gave this a go at Brighouse, what a laugh. For those of you who have not given Lasertag a try, now's your chance. A LOT more fun than you would think, especially when you run out of lives and your gun starts screaming "medic, medic. man down" so that all your mates know. And it makes a nice change to be able to run around in the woods without your goggles on, so long as there is nobody playing that idiotic game called paintball!!

Well you need to wake up coz you are still playing wargames but in a different form.

As a Sup Air and Woodsball Tournament player, I find that Laser Tag is just as much fun as either and the 2 man format, Bully is developing is well cool.

Getting beaten into 2nd place by a 3ft nothing 10 year old who stands up behind all the small barricades is only just acceptable

Andy YPC Great tp offer the training/tourney day really shows your support and commintment to paintball. Much respect. As Croft said few R13 lads will be there. Would be nice to just split the numbers down the middle and throw those who want a walkon like game on to a spare field!

Just an idea.

Cheers all

For those who attended the "Laser Tag team Tournament" here are the scores. For those who missed out we will be doing another Thursday night event in July.

Darryl and his 10 year old son Alexander 525
Eric - Dark warrior 500
Biscuit - 450
Paul - 425
Shaun - 425
Weeman - 325
Sarah helped by Alexander - 300
Stuart - 250
Vanessa - 150

A very interesting format that could be developed for paintball BUT it is more fun being able to watch and get involved without a mask on.

Thank you to Operation Laser Tag and Powerplay for supplying the pizza's and beer

bullies event was brilliant:D my missus vanessa played loved it to death and before you say she,s a women that don,t like paintball she plays and marshalls everyweekend and will show alot of you blokes up.she came last because alot of the so called tournie players from marshall law wouldn,t move because they were scared to be shown up by a women.another reason to try it is that it could be a cheap way to train if adapted and you cannot cheat  think about it guys what are the most shot items your guns and your goggles.these areas all have sensors so think about it very good for snap shooting and the like.so the next event get your arse along and don,t dismiss it try it, bring the missus and kids ( minimum age to play 10 )and get shown up by your kids ,just ask dw what it,s like to get your ass whooped by a 10 year old like the rest of us did:D :D :D

Ant UK Refs
20-06-2007, 17:27
That was my point exactly Biscuit, just don't knock it until you have tried it, but it seems that some people are above running around the woods with a gun:rolleyes:
