I have not set the date for the end of serise presentation party But we will be having on of those as Bully said no series is complete with out one.
This is the official press release for the series.
New for 2003, after 2 years of research of asking players on web sites and at events from all over the World including the World Cup, Patrina “Sparklie Chick “ Lester of Diablo Maidenhead is launching the M25 league, which is intended to be the showcase of British paintball.
Starting Sunday the 16th of March, 7 man teams will compete in 6 legs, unlimited paint, all Sup’air, at fantastic new venues.
Air fills to 4500psi will be available by courtesy of H-Pac and we also have the best possible marshalling; this is what the South has been waiting for. Not only will it be an exciting, well organised event for our novice teams, it will be an opportunity for timely warm ups to the Millennium.
You can’t run a tourney without good marshals and this was one of the primary issues that kept being voiced by the players.
Moose of Millennium fame, will be the Ultimate for the M25 League. Old school team, Goulo Lucius, with over 10 years experience at international level, will provide consistent and unbiased field ultimates.
Colin “Rommel” Knowles is really excited about this series and says, “the team can’t wait to get this started.”
Sparklie has selected teams to marshal who are committed to supporting the event and in conjunction with the UKPSF, they are being trained to UKPSF official tournament marshal standard. A world first is the chronographing marshal course, and once again this has the backing of the UKPSF.
This should ensure standard chronograph levels on the field and help in reducing hot guns. “During marshalling at The World Cup, even through a thick jersey and Dye elbow pads, I still got a big nasty welt! Something has to be done,” said Sparklie.
Another first, will be on line booking though Sparklie’s Emporium, her on line shop, so with a few quick clicks, players can download all the details and book their team’s place. This will be available from March the 1st.
With a of host industry support and both Smart Parts and WDP providing techs to keep players in the game, there will also be lots of booths and also the Smart Parts field to play on.
Sparklie has some interesting plans to encourage the general public to come and spectate.
She has also been working with the organisers of the Series 2003, Southwest League and Midlands Masters to organise an all England Leagues final.
