View Full Version : co2 cannister
Bought this paintball gun and it came with a 12oz co2 cannister. But it needs fixing he said it needs a burst disc. He said it only costs £2?
Can anyone shed any light on this?
A burst disc goes in a little holder in the valve of a co2 bottle. The holder looks like a small hexagonal nut/bolt head. The burst disc is deliberatly designed to be the 'weak link' in the bottle - in case of overpressure, the burt disc will fail and vent the bottle before the main bottle ruptures.
'If' it is the burst disk that has gone on the valve take it to a tech that knows what they are doing.
The burst disk is the safety vent installed in the valve which should vent gas if you over fill the bottle.
Is the bottle venting when you attempt to fill it?

what paintball marker have you bought?
i hope the first thing you bought was a mask as that is the most important piece of equippment you will need.
Yes mate i had already bought a mask. The marker i bought was a brand new Spyder Xtra, i was told these are not the best marlkers around but it was a bargain. I received body armour, gloves, 800 paintballs, knee pads, another mask, electrnic hopper, scope. Lots of stuff for £140. I just need to sort out the co2 bottle now. What should i do now?
