Who are the best sportsmen, Northerners or Southerners, and does this follow within paintball.

When I was at Uni - that was clearly demonstrated and resulted in a lecture being abandoned...
Healthy discussion broke out between us Yorkies (2) and 4 Lancies... Then a souverner butted in... Which resulted in a combined northern assault on the shandy swiggin puff... all out war kicked off and then a Frenchman stuck his oar in... BAD MOVE! :D

right where do i start? The few people who know me on here will vouch i'm southern and no shandy drinker! I'd have to say it depends on where you get your southerner from as to whether they're a good sportsman and i'd say the same be true for up north. Gingers are only allowed to exist to prove that "it could be worse" (same goes for lefties,the cack handed muppets! They aint right).

When you say best sportsmen, do you mean most sporting (honest players)? obviously that would be people from geographically above birmingham, or do you mean the most skillfull players? then that would have to be people from the north;)

as for having a go at gingers do the rest of you half breeds realize we are decended from the true brits that first inhabited this glorious island of ours and are not part french like alot of you:eek: :p :D so become a ginger today you know it,s the only way to be a true brit;)
if you trace your family trees back far enough i wonder how many of you are romans (italians.yukyuk) and how many are actually saxons and then this topic might have some ground to say north or south is better, when it really comes down to it everybody is a sore looser some just display it more than others

If you go back far enough, we all go back to the rift valley in Africa, so I suppose we are all Africans.
It's the age old debate of nature against nurture. We are all the same by nature, however the South Nurtures a less skillful sportsman, more prone to spitting their dummies out when they invairiably loose, making them more likely to cheat.
Therefore logically, the North produce better sportsmen.:D:D

What can I say their sore losers!!!! No but seriously, as the BCCI pointed out it was one mans word against another. I think on that basis it is very unfair to suspend Singh - but hey we live in an overly politically correct world so any sort of racial slander is jumped on by officials these days.

Hmmm kinda strange that we are the world leaders in coarse fishing - we won the world cup 8 years on the trot so far... The winning team being from Selby! fronted by a guy called John Allerton!

I would agree - Fishing is more popular than Football... It is a good sport - gets you away from the wife for a day relaxing down by the river on a nice sunny day!
