hi everyone i need a little help me and my mate codiak are looking in to starting a team up but we dont know where to start got a few people intrested in joining the team but it's just getting started i havent got a clue. i love playing cant get enough of it, but at the min all i seem to do is marshall because we cant get the players to train with,
we're hoping to get a team together to start entering tournaments next year but we need to train so if anyone can give a little advice on how to get started it would be much apprecated
cheers

well my offers open but im happy to train with yous aswell.... :D
Well I will kick off with what I do know,
Obviously North East / Northumberland based players, a venue both supair and woodland need to be chosen perhapse we can find a good example of each at more than just one site.
UKPSF membership is a must have for all players and im sure we could arrange some sort of monthly team meetings and take in subs to pay for costs of training at firsrt then when we get better game fees etc that way we can just split the paint bill on tourneys.
any other input or even interest from players who would like to join us post up.
get your selves to the next ionman at universal, make up a team there and see what happens...
I dont understad why newbies start teams instead fo joining exsisting teams... atleats then you can play with experienced players and learn more?

not wanting to get into flaming already but, we arent all newbies.
im all up for seeing what teams are out there and maybe joining in with them to do some training / practice. But that dont mean I have to join their ranks when theres potentialy enough of us to setup our own outfit with people we know very well.

hi mate might be worth reading through the other thred s as this forum as quite a few events advertised for you to start looking at e.g:
1,ion man
2, fusion 3
i dont know how experanced you are so i wont judge you but iwould recomend attend regular walkons at fatbobs and meet the lads and get talking at the walkons and now dowt they can give the bast advise .
also mate are you only interested in sub-air as there are 2 sub-air training site s in manchester and a new one opening in a few months indoor but it all depends on were you live.
my advice is to make sure you get lads that attend regular walkons or can commit what you are asking of them . what you got to think of is what are you after from a team .

You should respect your elders, he's right in what he says about trying out in established and experienced teams as I found in fusion, you learn the game far quicker
dont worry :D im only joking......if anyone has any input on the way me and my team plays then im happy to work on it :D

Oh no you didnt girlfriend ! YPC 8th march, bring your best, we will see ;)
Edit : Just ask kenny how hard starting a new team is, he's the founder of rule13 and spent alot of time and effort getting us to where we are now.

if your starting a team and havnt got good numbers yet or have good numbers and want to put 2 teams of 3 in to the fusion3's tournement that will be up and running next month that is where i woudlstart if your after a really fun day out ran by experiance woodsball tournement players some of which are also marshalls at a very good site (YPC) and obviously held at a great sit the Yorkshire Paintball Centre which ias UKPSF accredited.
i dont think you could do much better if your after a semi competative "local" to yorkshire tournement series, unless your willing to travel further up north to do the "ionman" events which Fatbobs Fusion 1 and 2 play in.
