Hi Guys

Sorry for the following bad newbie questions!

1: I have been playing paintball for a little while now and for my first gun im thinking of buying a Proto Rail, is this a good gun as I can’t find any reviews on it.

2: What do the main majority of paint balling sites use – CO2 or Air and what should I go for?

3: Where do you fill up your CO2 or Air bottles for your guns?

4: Im sort of in a boat on my own with paintballing compared to my friends who are not really into it, so what’s the best way to get into and more involved and possibly a member?

Thanks

great marker just purchased one myself after getting a good deal and useing one at my local site

If your going to Run an electric set up go for Air no doubt about it would drop CO2 as soon as you leave mechanical guns.
3: Where do you fill up your CO2 or Air bottles for your guns?
At your local paintball site make sure when dealing with Air the you ask a competant person to fill it as improper use can be dangerous

get in touch with your local paintball site and pop down for there walk ons there will be loads of people that can help and advise you.
Thats basically what i did

Thats basically how i started mate!

Thanks for your reply so quick Wigs!,

Is it best to buy your own gun before going out on walk-on days? And if I buy the 'Proto Rail' will it come with a hopper and an air bottle or will I need to purchase them also?

Thanks,

Everything is purchased seperately, out of interest where are you from? perhaps we can search up some local sites where you can play.

Good site is Bassets pole, bug a guy down there called Gurkha, he'll point you right, you will need a set of ladders to talk to him though

Bassets Pole allows walk on and is air site with a bit of CO2 is needed
You can get a Proto Rail as part of a starter kit from most shops, but its better to get a larger air system than the stock 0.8/3000 bottle you normally get 1.1/3000 is better but a 1.1/4500 is more versatile. There are a load of good loaders out there so get something more mid-range than cheap.
Talk to any of the staff @ NPF and they will point you towards some of the regular own gunners down there

it maybe worth upgrading the reload 2 to something a little more substantial like an eggy 2, halo b or empire b
