Nice place you have here.
Just recently I had my first experience of paintball and was instantly hooked, i played with a friends on a private field instead of a paintball centre and had to borrow one of the standard markers they have spare. At the very minimum I would have to supply my own safety gear, paintballs and contribute to the cost of filling up the air tank.
Since then i have been looking at all the equipment available and i expressed an interest in getting a marker, one of them offered me one they had purchased but never really used, it was recently serviced and had some parts replaced which he had a receipt for.
I have been looking around the web trying to find information and found a review website which mainly listed marker setups, pro's and con's. Was wondering if anyone could give me some more information on it, I cant find much on it, even the basics like BPS. The marker is a Smart Parts eclipse impulse, i am told its quite good but i have not had a go yet and because i am struggling to find information deciding on the other equipment is more difficult. If there is any more information required i can provide it as I have it here.

Any help is gratefully received, thanks :)

Its the planet eclipse one, the thing that threw me is that it has come in an SP box with pe labels on it. I found that review page and its the same colour as that one in the picture to, was wondering if anyone had some experience using it.

I havent much money, I can borrow an mask, air bottle if needed. So it will save me a bit of money while i get the rest. My mate wants £120 for the marker, dunno if its a good price, it seems it and it is in great condition. What i dont want to do is go and spend money on say, a hopper for it then to restrict the performance of the gun, so not being suitable. I would prefer to save up for an extra few weeks and buy a better one that is tried and tested. It gets a bit confusing to make a choice.

thanks for the replies :)

to be honest you can probably get a better deal on a second hand gun for about the same price. Something like a smart parts shocker or an ion. And if you post up here what your price range or what your thinking of getting and we can let you know if its a good deal or not

If your mate is offering a try before u buy i would go with that take it out gas it up play with it for a bit before u make your mind up.
I presume that your mate is selling because he has upgraded if thats the case ask if u can play with his gun a bit then if u realy like it u can maybe get a secand hand one from here for maybe the same price as what he is offering his old one for.

The impulse was a good marker in its day, but nowadays i think most starter and mid range markers outclass it ... so to be honest have a look at a vibe or slg ;)
... Not exacty an expert on impulses though, so dont take my word for it:o
