hello
some slightly more technical newbie questions that my last post :D
I am going to use air for my marker ( when I get it :( ) and was wondering how u go about filling it yourself.
I know dive shops etc can do it but I wanna do it myself as I have access to dive bottles and a compressor, however when I talked to my g/f dad who has compressor etc he said I will need either an A clamp or DIN adapter
which 1 do i need to fill paintball air tanks?
Also will I need any hosing? or other adaptors specific to paintball equipment?
many thanks in advance :)
You compressor needs to be able to fill to 3000 or better 4500psi. Few home compressors go anywhere near that pressure. However, if yours does, then go talk to your local dive shop - they will be able to sort you out with the kit and impart good background knowledge to you too.

thanks again dude
are the fill adapters for paintball tanks the some as diving ones?
the compressor I have goes to 3000psi, how many shots do u think I would get out of a 0.8L tank on an autococker?
cheers :)

you'll get about 600 shots from what I was told
I also am awaiting an autococker, and running it on air :)

klemomac, you say you have access to dive bottles, have a look at the on off valves on top of the bottles, if it looks like a square block above the on off with an outlet with an o ring at one side and a dimple at the other, this is an a clamp type fitting, and is rated at 3000 psi. if it looks like a cut off elbow with a thread on it ,it is a din type fitting and are usually rated up to 4500 psi.

hey can u tell me where you got the 3000psi compressor, and roughly how much? when i get air i could use it to fill me bottles.
also, i saw a booster system somewhere that takes a low pressure (900psi ish) input and boosts it to 3000/4500psi. cheaper than a huge compressor i think. anyone know what im talking about?
Make sure you know what your doing, Don't even attempt filling your bottle without asking a qualified professional. 3000psi is alot of pressure, you can't be too safe.

the one in the picture {fat bobs) is a din fitting type.
there is a picture of both types on a certain manchester shops web site under hoses and fittings.
