Hi all

Having a problem with my A5 as it just keeps on stripping and I have done all the usual things to it.

Checked O-ring is ok on CO2 cylinder, changed to another cylinder. Plenty of CO2 in it. Checked the gun but it just keeps on going full auto mode.

Any suggestions as need to get it fixed for the weekend!

Cheers

Might be your trigger spring or something like that
What do you mean by it keeps on stripping?

Sounds like your sear is not engaging, the sears job is to catch and hold the rear bolt. The sear works with your trigger to fire the marker. It could be a case of a weak sear spring or the sear has become worn, are you having cocking problems as well?, another sure sign of problems with the sear or sear spring

You could try having a look at:Tippmann FAQ (http://www.tippmann.com/support/faq.asp)
Quite a useful site for Tippy owners. Hope this helps a bit.

How long you had it for?.

Have a look at the hammer and sear, it's possible that the hammer has got a bit of a burr where it catches the sear which might cause the sear not to catch properly, this happened to me but only caused it to double or triple fire not go fullauto. If the hammer has burred just remove the burr with some wet n dry and try it again.

Which trigger do you have on it R/T or E-grip.

Is it the same symptoms as when you're just about out of gas. A lot of blowback type guns will go fullauto just as the gas runs out because there's not enough pressure to recock it properly but you sometimes get exactly the same syptoms when the bolt is dirty.

It is the same sort of thing so I will check the bolt.
