Hi there,

Will fat bobs be stocking the Q-Loader any time soon?

Q-Loader Web Site (http://www.qloader.com)

It looks damn cool for the front players who dont want a blimp on their marker.

Or the side :D

Anyway... it got its disadvantages too (only holds 100) but that means its only pot sized.
So I'd like to try it out.

I for one would love to see one in action and make my own judgement - there's a lot of hype about these at the min, but they do look like a good new idea.

I have recently shipped on in from the states and it is awesome. As a practicing mechanical engineer I admire the ingenuity of the feed machanism and can say that the build quality is VERY good. I have found 1 problem so far, which was 100% due to operator inexperience. When loading a pod I put about 50-60 balls in then the balls in the loading device ran out and I wound about 1 full turn of thin air into the pod. When I removed the pod and attatched it to the marker the spring tension started spinning the mechanism to feed the balls and becasue of the 'airlock' I wound in the first ball hit the socket mechanism that attatches to the gun and broke it, making a hell of a mess of the feed machanism. The pods look complex but I managed to strip the pod, clean it, and put it back together in minuites without any headaches. I have tried it with my Xonik (autococker) on full auto and full speed, I cant fault it. I got the tourney kit as I can carry 400 rounds in my pack plus 100 on the gun. VERY easy to use in respect to both the loading of the pods and reloading in the field.

It is there only as a means of testing reliability of a set of timing data and is not used on the field!(not by me anyhow!) It actually takes about 5 minuites of poking paperclips in holes to press tamper-proof switches before it can be made active and it defaults to semi after switching off again. Cant afford the paint anyhow!

Suppose its only like a lot of markers that can go full auto with a little tweaking (tippmann 98 can be made to run full auto in about 1 minuite using a matchstick! (DONT bother asking me how as I wont tell you!))
I didnt realise the kit actually worked in full auto until I started messing around with it. The standard menu allows switching between classic and semi mode but theres a hidden menu that you have to study the manual to find! On the web site it lists the product as being capable of semi and classic modes of fire.

If there is a demand for them, then we will get them.

I think though they have a curiosity value but suspect that no one will ever actually buy one.

I may be wrong, someone pre order one and prove me wrong

I got mine for about the same price as a decent motorised hopper would cost in the uk. I know you have to stop shooting when you reload but to be honest I do anyway even before I got it! It takes me less time to get firing again after depleting my ammo with this system than when I had a regular hopper mounted, plus I no longer end up losing about 50 balls a refill on the ground!. I also like the fact that it doesn't stick up in the air when I am sniping over a log or bush. Other advantages are the fact that I dont need to replace the batteries at about £10 a time (I usually find out they are dead when I get to the field and have to go to the nearest BP garage for a couple and get my pants pulled down!)
