View Full Version : Remote hoses
Hi All,
Wonder whether you can help. I am trying to get my head round remote hoses. Do you fit an anti-syphon tube to the bottle or does the remote hose act as an anti-siphon tube negating the need for one in the bottle?
Cheers, new to all this!

usually the bottle sits vertically, therefore removing the need for an anti syphon. the remote hose attatches to the top of the bottle and pulls vapour from it. no liquid should enter your marker, i would advise not to have an anti syphon tube fitted to a bottle that you intend to use for a remote set up.
Cheers, thats what i thought. What about if you lie down, ie when the bottle goes horizontal? Does the remote act as an anti-syphon enough? I wasn't sure whether a very short antisiphon curved up to the vale position on the bottle should be used for these situations as you could make sure that when you lie down it would work.
Cheers

You should be ok, since the remote hose will (to a point) act as an expansion chamber. Basically, you'll never be able to 100% eliminate liquid entering your gun unless you switch to air.
