I have a problem/s with my rail 09 :
firstly I wanted to make sure everything was in order so I turned the rail on and put a ball in the breech so the eyes were green , so far so good
then as I fired the eyes flashed green , I then looked at the manual and changed the battery , they flashed green again
I have never used the rail or even fired it so I dont see how the eyes could be dirty , I have only just taken it out the box
I cleaned them with a swab anyway , then I thought , well I don't need the eyes just to fire once so I turned the eyes off , the red light then blinked as well
Is it something to do with the bolt? , I dont see why I should be buying replacments for a proto marker before Ive even played with it.

take the ball out , turn the gun on , then put your finger in the breach if it changes from red to green the eyes are working . if it flashes red that means the eyes are disabled
i have a rail and think i could actualy help this time :D
If you just put a ball in the breach and shot the gun (WITH NO AIR) the ball isnt going anywere so the green led WILL flash, nothing to worry about at all.
As soon as you but an air tank on the back you'll have no flashing green light when you pull the trigger ;)

i've noticed that the last few we've sold have a lot of lube on the bolts so it might be worth taking some off...
put a new battery in aswell as we don't know how old the proto ones are and it's always best to try it with air..........

I believe this is perfectly normal. If the gun isn’t aired up, and you pull the trigger with the eyes on then the gun will know that something is not corresponding and will flash up. Should all be explained in the manual..
Rule 1, cycle your gun with air before you fiddle with it :D
