OK guys, I need a little help on this...

At tho mo I have a standard spyder aggressor. Basically its not that great.

I'm looking to get an autococker soon, with a bit of luck. Looking at fatbobs, theres a 2003 cocker for just under £300. But at pl**et theres the 2004 cocker for the same price.

Theres no description of the 2k4 and since I don't know much about it I ask: whats the difference apart from the look? Its the same price as the 2k3 so if its better of course I'll go for it. But there might be problems with it cos its new or whatever. I don't know...

What is the difference and which is best for the same price?

Also, I'd probably get an eblade for it later - is it better to wait longer then get the 2k3 with eblade fitted for £550 now, or just get the 2k4 and buy the eblade separately later? I'm not sure wether I really need it so I'll probably leave it out for the moment...

Just anyone who's had experience with any of these markers, I'd be thankful for any advice.

Appreciate the help (and getting to the end of this looong post)
Cheers!

A mechanical cocker will serve you well :)

Theres more problems that can occur with an electro marker than a mech so if you have had no experience of cockers before I'd probably go for the mech one.

Used a mech cocker for the first 18 month or so of playing ball, and actually still have one. Call it my 'old reliable' as no matter what when it comes out my bag the thing just works!!

cheers m8 I'll stick to standard cocker for a while then. Just needed someone to back up what i thought.

But the 2k4 cocker? Its not on fatbobs but it is on pl**en. Does anyone know the difference between 2k3 and 2k4?

on pl*nets site the o3 and the o4 cockers are the same price so i guess its just the milling pattern.

Don't let all this electrickery dazzle you. Stick with a mech style cocker for now. I use a practically stock 2003 Cocker in tourneys, and it still holds its head up high. The only thing I've changed so far is to put a hinge frame on it.
It might be fun to have a hoppers worth of paint in the air al at once, but ain't no good if none are on target. Slow but sure mate, only way to learn the trade.

If your going to get an E-blade anyway may as well from the start. Anything that can go wrong with the mech also goes with the electro but with the electro just fit a fresh battery and all seems to be well. Just don't go squeezing to many off to fast until you get the feel for the thing. Don't forget to get a good hopper like an Evo Egg or a Halo although you'll need a new feed neck for the halo as it has a fat arse.

I've got both a mech and an eblade and i've now fixed the mech but can squeeze the e-blade marginally faster. If you practice with you're fingers a good manual blade trigger will serve you well but with the price of eblades being quite low go for it I say.
