Silent Rave ?!

I went out last night in Harrogate. After doing a few bars we ended up in Revolutions. In One area there was people dancing but no music, then we noticed people with headphones on listening to tunes. Has any one seen this before am I the only one to think this is weird ???

There's a silent rave at Leeds Fest every year, imagine say a few hundred people in a big tent all trying to sing along, oblivious to anything else!

Silent Raves are quite good, because you have a band playing, which you can hear, but when you want to talk to someone, you just talk normally....
I've only ever been to one, but wasn't as bad as it sounds, honestly....
still not as good as going in the room that says ''warning, ear protectors advisable'' in Ministry in Elephant and Castle.... stupidly loud
