View Full Version : A word of warning
If you ever get caught by the police with a mobile lazer gun, don't even bother trying to fight it.
I was between a transit van and another car (both of which the police admitted were not speeding).
I was following the Transit at about 10 yards completely obscuring the view of the police and the other car was about 10 yards behind me.
My laser detector did not go off and was then tested by the police and found to be working.
The police had conflicting witness statements.
At 286m the laser beam was 1m wide.
And I STILL was found guilty by the magistrates all of whome were middle aged women.
No wonder this country is in such a state.
It did teach me one thing though. The courts are not interested in the truth!!
Well you shouldn't drive such a flash car!
Since when did British "justice" and the truth have anything in common? In fact, are they even part of the same language?
Motorist: Honest office, I wasn't (insert offence here).
Officer: Never mind all that, give us your £60 and p*ss off till next time.
Welcome to the 3/6/9 point club Andy. Wait till you see what it's done for your insurance premium too.
Had this discussion not two weeks back with Damien :(
Have had 6 points on my licence in the past 4 weeks... after a clean licence for ten years :(
One for doing 33 in a 30 zone!!
Sorry man but the country is going to shat.... just a quick and easy way for constabularys to generate cash quick in my opinion... get out and stop some real crime!!
One of the many reasons I'm debating leaving this god forsaken country at the moment :(
Damn!! Why didn't I think of leaving this toilet? I've just written to some tin-pot nuclear equipped back water country, requesting they start some hassle with mr Bush and his lap dog, so they get really pissed at them and NUKE the whole world. It's time to let the slime start again, as the human race has made a total balls-up of things this time round.
Oh look, 2 men in white coats with a funny looking jacket in my size have just turned up at the door. Bye world, I blame the mice.........

and if you ride a motorcycle they tend to pick on us a little more!
Scott
Dunno about that, i ride bikes everyday allyear round and i can't remember the last time i was stopped and i've only ever had 1 speeding ticket in twenty somthing years of riding(58mph through town not a good idea).
It's not that i'm law abiding (speed limits are for cars and just a rough guideline as far as bikes are concerned;) ;) ) and any copper has reason to stop me cos of a couple of obvious law infringements but they don't.
Suppose i'm gonna get stopped every time i go out now:( :(
Just got back from the Isle of Man - the TT practice week is just starting and I can safely say that many bikers have a death wish.
