I heard of an event yesterday that allowed children to fill their own bottles, one of them filled a 3000psi rated bottle with a 4500psi fill. Both of these issues are against the UKPSF air supply recommendations which are tied to the sanctioning of an event.

The event was a UKPSF Sanctioned event. My questions are;

1) Would the UKPSF Insurance still be valid at this event
2) Would the organisers own Public Liability insurance still be valid under these circumstances.

Unless you have a legitimate and relevant reason for posting in this thread, don't. Any more offenders will be getting a short holiday from the forum.

Just to clarify the UK Masters does NOT allow children to fill their own air tanks, you have to be over 18 years old as stated on the UK Masters disclaimer. So if anyone is responsible it is player that signs the disclaimer.

Also the fill stations are clearly signed 3000psi and 4500psi.

Incase players dont read their team disclaimer, i will reiterate this information in the captains meeting at future events.

I have spoken to both Wendy and Trevor from H-pac and they understand the implications and have both agreed to tighten up their procedures and reiterate to players that under 18's must either ask a team member to fill the cylinders OR ask Trevor/Tim to fill the cylinders who are at the main fill station.

Thanks for your response people. I am interested to know the answer to Andys questions regarding UKPSF insurance and public liability?

The insurance would be valid - I am not a legal expert but I am sure that if there had been an injury and the players insurance had paid out a substantial amount then the insurer would be looking to recoup some of the moneis from anyone they felt was liable - same as a car accident situation.
