Hi everyone!

I saw this pic of someone's customised Spyder Rodeo and I'm hoping to do the same or similar to mine depending on funds (or lack of). The only problem is that I can't seem to find any places here in Blighty that sells these Spyder parts. Have a look!

VagabondStarJXF

Ok.

The front block is a 15Degree Assault Block by Check It Products
Reg is a Torpedo by Bob Long (I think)
Grip is an ESP by Kingman (don't know what version)
Not sure about the guage (Dye or something)

I don't know what barrel he used but that don't matter as I've got a Demon that looks nice enough. I've also got a cool looking Drop with On/Off from Marksmann.com

Is there anywhere where I can get a replacement feed neck, rear velocity adjuster and sight rail that's black, gloss black.

Are there any other upgrades that are recommended for this marker? Is there an offset scope mount for it like the one available for the Tippmann A-5? What hopper would be best for 14bps, a VL2, 12V Revvy, Reloader or should I save the pennies and get a high end one?

Bloody Whisper
10-06-2004, 16:49
how fast you gonna be swallowing the paint up? bit ham fisted or slow and accurate. Save your pennys and a get a egg. you have seen mine and know what sort of speeds it can take go for the egg.

Paint will probably be used a tiny bit faster than usual, seeing as I'm still a newbie, cowering behind a coke can or trapped in a bunker, screaming about Charlie being all around us  :p

I'd thought about the egg a lot after seeing yours in action but I'm not sure if I should get it or get some behemoth of a 40bps hopper thing (if there is one) so that I won't need to upgrade it when I finally get the money for the Alias I'm dreaming of.

The Reloader B looks good in pics but I don't know anyone who's got one for me to see. That would handle the Alias, or so I've been told.

Oh I don't know:confused:!

Bloody Whisper
10-06-2004, 19:41
well mine takes 17+ and thats on a y board you can also get the same hopper but whip out the y board and chuck in a z board and then bloody thing shoots out at 25+.

Fast enough?

Scott:D

Okay. Egg it is then...

YAY!!! Fat Bobs sells the Bob Long Torpedo Reg now!! Any chance of getting the other bits????:D

VagabondStarJXF

Now comes the question...

Which is better, Steel Braided Hose or Macro Line Hose?

I'll be running CO2 but will be upgrading to Air so it has to handle both.

Anyone got any suggestions on this? And are coloured Steel Braided ones available on aftermarket?

Here's a pic of a Standard Rodeo for comparison.

Bloody Whisper
12-06-2004, 02:31
I would have said braided but then thats because i ride a motorcycle and braided brake hoses are better than standerd???? but then of course this is a bike i am talking about and not a paintball marker.........it's 3.30am i have just finished work.....tired......ignore my mindless rants

Scott:D

Bloody Whisper

Yup i have lost it

Scott:rolleyes:

VagabondStarJXF
12-06-2004, 20:09
Ok... after some thoughts, which I'll explain, I'm gonna go for a macro line for now.

This is because of:
1. I don't know how long a hose I'll need.
2. I want a coloured steel braided hose but don't know where to get it (Scottie had a cool looking one on his marker on a thread somewhere but I can't find it now!).
3. I can't find the swivel elbows for steel braided hoses anywhere.

I've managed, with help from some American friends, to acquire an ESP trigger frame kit. Here's a pic, just in case you have no idea what I'm blathering on about. Still don't know where I'm gonna get the Assault Block from...

VagabondStarJXF
14-06-2004, 15:49
Has anyone got any idea where I can get a black 15Degree Assault Block by Check It Products? (see pic)
I also need a black rear velocity adjuster, a black Spyder sight rail (I'm not willing to paint mine as the matte finished silver is hard to replace) and a black feed neck for this marker.
If anyone has these things spare or any suggestions as to where I can find them, please post a reply. I've got 4 weeks to finish this off (got a game to play) so any help would be appreciated!

VagabondStarJXF
16-06-2004, 13:15
Which of these regs is better?

Bob Long Torpedo or Palmer Stabilizer.

One of them is going to end up on this marker so I need to know everything about them... pro's and con's...

alan phoenix
16-06-2004, 17:10
palmer by a long way.

Tom
16-06-2004, 17:30
yup

VagabondStarJXF
17-06-2004, 10:22
Palmer?

Any particular reason why?

Tom
17-06-2004, 10:38
They have an excellent reputation, are easy to strip and maintain and have excellent output consistency over a wide range of input pressures.

VagabondStarJXF
17-06-2004, 11:31
I thought the Torpedo has the same rep? I'm not too sure about the range thing. I'm only using it on a marker that's currently maxed on about 500psi (though it's supposed to reg up to 7-800psi)

I've not heard about stripping ease with the Torpedo either but I've heard it's easier to break in than the Stabilizer.

And it's cheaper by a few quid... I want something decent on this marker of mine but I'm still undecided between the two. It also has to look the part.

VagabondStarJXF
19-06-2004, 01:33
OK!

Price has decided! Some American dude  just offered me his spare Torpedo ( no jokes here matey! :p ). It's unused as he got it just before getting a timmy. Lets just say that $s to £s has worked out ok. I just hope he's genuine as I've paid the guy for it already!

hey marine, which hose  ?

Steel or Macro?

Any idea where I can get the colored steel ones?

Paint Marine
19-06-2004, 15:12
steel is heavy in a way(dont get cocky)even if its small
macro is not so heavy,i think at the end of the day weight is not the issue its ur gun, ur using it (ya hope) so its what u work and the gun work better with, i would forget the wieght thing for now,and get a steel 1,but get a high profomance one and get it pollised inside and out and keep it that way as co2/air will have less drag on it as if flows throw

(less drag,more balls,more culling)

easy

VagabondStarJXF
19-06-2004, 16:57
get a high profomance one and get it pollised inside and out

OK...

Steel it is (or at least it will be when I've found out how long a hose I need)

Where can I get a 'High Performance' one?

How do you polish the inside of a hose and with what?

Paint Marine
19-06-2004, 17:07
get the spec for the one u need then take it to a place that deals with metal, blacksmiths or somthing like that

get them to make u the tube get a flexi one(easyer to clean)

before u fit it get a very very small flexi rod like what u use to clean a marker or shotgun and get a new duster and then stick it on the end of the rod and push it slowly down the tube and do it for ages u should b able to c ur face on the inside and outside of the tube depending on the diamiter of the tube!

this should help a flow but i doult it will show much diffrence i even do it on my pump action.

do it on metal barrels for markers, and barrels on pumps(mines plastic)

try it its a bit of a mission but i will help in the long run

better for co2 guns as it gets the while powder out,and other crap

try it

I can't find anyone who'll do that kind of work for such a small piece. I'll have to buy a standard aftermarket steel braided hose and try to find some way of permanently colouring it without destroying its flexability.

Tom
20-06-2004, 18:39
You want to talk to Tom Allen, he's a tech for WDP. He privately sells high-pressure elbows and macroline thats rated to 4k5 psi. They are excellent fittings and will last forever. Only £3 for an elbow and £1 per foot of hose last time I checked - get some of them and you'll be right.

Paint Marine - what the hell are you on about? Steel hosing from a blacksmith?!

Paint Marine
20-06-2004, 18:45
shut it tom i did on my prania, and it worked u just got to ask, no harm is there if it worked for me then pass it on,

Tom
20-06-2004, 18:57
What's a prania? And I don't think that just because you did it means it's a good idea... actually I think the opposite may be true :P

VagabondStarJXF

cool  thanks

Tom Allen
20-06-2004, 19:45
Hi everyone, i sell the high pressure fittings and macroline hose.

They are capable of passing 900psi in perfect safety, and disconnect with a simple push on the collet. These fittings are a substantial improvement over the existing fittings, which can only pass 230psi safely.

Prices :

Swivel elbow - £7
Straight - £4
Hose - £1 for 200mm
Adaptor type 1 - £1
Adaptor type 2 - £2

The adaptors are only needed if the fittings go into a curved face.

Tom
20-06-2004, 20:30
There are by far the best fittings you will come across. I was very sceptical at first, but I now swear by the things. Entire teams have switched all their markers over to them. Having had 2 of the old style macroline elbows explode on markers I've been using, I can't recommend these new ones highly enough.

VagabondStarJXF
23-06-2004, 13:50
Hey Scottie? (or anyone who might know)

Can you tell me where you got your hose from? (see pic) Or is this a cover of some sort? Either way can anyone tell me where I can get one and if they come in different colours? Putting it on my Rodeo would be kewl  , or at least I think it would be... :D

VagabondStarJXF
25-06-2004, 13:04
Can you post pics of the adapters, please?

Or of every piece you're offering, please?

Tom Allen
25-06-2004, 14:13
I'll get some pics sorted later on today.

VagabondStarJXF
25-06-2004, 14:59

I've just received my Delrin Bolt today and it's not as snug in the chamber as I thought it would be. It's actually a miniscule amount looser than the stock bolt.

Is this normal for a delrin bolt?

Tom Allen
26-06-2004, 10:16
Here's the pics guys...

http://muchos.co.uk/members/toma/fittings 2.jpg (http://www.muchos.co.uk)

http://muchos.co.uk/members/toma/adaptors.jpg (http://www.muchos.co.uk)

The left adaptor is shown with a straight fitting installed, this gives a low profile elbow that fits a round faced reg. Uses adaptor 2.

The right adaptor is shown with the swivel elbow installed, and allows you to fit a swivel elbow to a round faced reg. Uses adaptor 1.

Paint Marine
26-06-2004, 15:49
very posh

VagabondStarJXF
26-06-2004, 20:08
Can I assume that the left adapter is type 1 and the right adapter is type 2?

Will these adapters work with steel braided hoses?

Do you sell steel braided hoses too?

Tom Allen
26-06-2004, 20:25
The fittings are only suitable for the macroline hose i supply, but the adaptors can be used with any 1/8 bsp fittings.

Info added to the pics.

Also agree... Toms fittings are the doggys danglers :) think everyone on our team is on them now :)

Any advice on the delrin bolt?

I've lubed it up and gassed up my marker but it still leaks. I cock it and the leak stops. It's all ok to dry fire but I'm just worried that if it leaks when it's not cocked then it uses more gas as it's fired.

Is this normal for a delrin bolt?

Mr. Longbeard
01-07-2004, 11:37
Hmmmm that's one of the things I noticed on my Erex, and allways meant to ask about.

VagabondStarJXF
01-07-2004, 18:18
I've got myself a low pressure bolt. I've not had a chance to drop the pressure on my marker yet so that might be all it is.

Tom
01-07-2004, 18:19
Right, if a cocker or blowback semi leaks out the front of the bolt when uncocked, it's because your main spring is pushing the valve open a little bit. It's nothing to worry about, just remember to cock the marker before you gas it up. It's not dangerous or bad or anything. Honest guv!

VagabondStarJXF
01-07-2004, 18:29
I'd put stronger main spring and weaker valve spring on so I guess that would make sense (silly me! :D )

So what's the problem if a cocker leaks when I've got the bolt cocked back? I've got an old 96 that I can't use because of this kind of leak and I want to get it working sometime.

Tom
02-07-2004, 07:06
If it's leaking when cocked then... where's it leaking from? If it's leaking out the front of the bolt then the cupseal is knackered/dirty. Take the valve out and have a look, clean it etc and replace. If it still leaks, get a new valve.

To get a valve out of a cocker, you need a special valve tool, which you can get in an official WGP cocker spares kit.

VagabondStarJXF
02-07-2004, 11:09
I'd replaced all the o rings that I could get to and cleaned averything that I could remove, valve an' all. I've even put new hose on it. The only thing I couldn't remove was the asa which had a strange bolt holding it in.

I've pretty much given up trying to fix it myself as I don't think I've got enough air tech knowledge (or tools) to finish the job, so I've asked the guys at my local PB Field (Many thanks to y'all. You know who you be! :D ) to see what they can do. It'll be such a shame if we can't get it to work. Everything was in great condition, just old and unused for 6-8 years.

VagabondStarJXF
02-07-2004, 11:13
If it can be fixed I'll probably start another thread as I'm gonna build that one up next if it's working. I've already got a Delrin Bolt which I'd specially ordered for it. Any other upgrades will have to wait until my Rodeo can ride! ;) :p :D

Tom
02-07-2004, 15:22
Where's it leaking from?

VagabondStarJXF
02-07-2004, 17:54
Somewhere around the asa. I've been thinking of replacing it but I can't remove the damned thing.

Tom
04-07-2004, 10:43
It's probably just a dodgy seal. If I remember correctly, you need a special tool to get that star bolt thing off the ASA. You mean the vertical ASA right? (Not the bottom line)

VagabondStarJXF
04-07-2004, 12:14
yep, I mean the asa. The thing doesn't currently have a reg or bottomline attatched. It didn't come with one when I got it. I think I'll start a new thread so that I can get help building it up.

VagabondStarJXF
04-07-2004, 12:24
Ok. Here's a link to the thread:

Old Autococker work... (http://www.fatbobsdirect.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2493)

Any help with the Autococker can go there. It's a bit strange talking about fixing my Autococker on a thread about modding my Spyder Rodeo

VagabondStarJXF
05-07-2004, 23:49
:D I've managed to acquire and fit the following to my Spyder Rodeo:

Kingman ESP IPI 3.0 Trigger Frame Kit
Marksmann Addon Drop Forward with On/Off ASA
BlairsBolts Delrin Bolt for Rear Cocking Spyders (No Venturi)
Check It Products 15* Assault Block
Bob Long Torpedo Regulator
KAPP 800psi Micro Gauge
AIM 1200psi Micro Gauge
8" Steel Braided Hose

This is only the second stage of... I don't know how many stages.

The next stages will include a new electronic loader, a low pressure valve, a new feedneck, an Air System and hopefully some other bits that either look good or I've not thought of yet. Or, at least, that's the plan! :D :D

Many thanks to everyone who either gave advice or supplied bits and a special thanks to those out there who bought stuff off of me to fund this project thus far

I'm now looking to get an HPA system.

I want a mid or high end range reg system with a Fibre Wrapped bottle. I'm not sure what size or whatever else there might be. I need to get something that I won't replace any time soon. Any advice?

VagabondStarJXF
10-07-2004, 01:15
Do they make on/off valves for air systems like the do for CO2?

alan phoenix

just get a decent preset air system.screw it in your asa, your on of on the asa will act like an on off valve .

Thanks. Any recommendations on which preset system? It'll be used on both my Spyder and, if it's working, my Autococker.

10-07-2004, 19:39
u can get most dude, i use a 0.8 litre 3000psi system, but i think thats a bit small, if it were up to me, i'd get a 4500psi 1.1 litre tank, they're about £350 new but im sure u can find em cheap 2nd hand! :) hope this helps!

VagabondStarJXF
13-07-2004, 10:45
After testing out my new setup on Sunday I've discovered, to my slight dismay, that I cannot use CO2 anymore as my new rate of fire is so fast it freezes up my marker by default. I have to get an Air Tank.

Fortunately I've been offered two air systems. One's a preset with DOT bottle, which I've already turned down, and the other is a bottle with an Armageddon Reg. The guy seems genuine. He'll meet me on the next walk on and he'll even allow me to test it before I decide to buy it or not.

I've heard that the 'geddy is a decent reg but is there anything I should be looking out for when I check it? It's not the new 2k4 'geddy (which would've been good) and I can't remember if it's a 1.1l or 1.5l bottle. He did say that there's about 2 years left on the test date though, so it should be good right?

VagabondStarJXF
13-07-2004, 10:56
Another problem with my new setup:

I'm firing so fast now that I'm chopping. I've got a new eVLution 2 hopper so I shouldn't be able to outfire it, should I? The ESP is supposed to cap my shots off at 14bps and the hopper is maxxed out at 17bps and yet I'm jamming up my bolt when I let rip. I can fire full auto (test range only!) until my hopper runs dry and my marker seems fine. Full auto is only 9bps, or so I'm told.

I had new batteries in the egg so it can't be a power issue. I've decreased the pressure. I've increased the pressure. It only chops when I fire as fast as I can. I actually fired just as fast as someone with an eblade which shouldn't be possible, right?

What's going on? Could my ESP board be faulty? Or could it be my egg board? Would getting a shorter feedneck help?

VagabondStarJXF
13-07-2004, 11:19
Yet another problem...

I can't seem to get my velocity to go above 260fps. I've had this problem for a while now and I thought that all the upgrades I've done over the last month would've sorted this out.

I've tried stretching the drive spring, fitting new stronger springs, increasing the pressure, fitting different bolts, maxxing out my velocity adjuster, using different barrels and using HPA. All I managed to do was increase my max fps from 250 to 260.

It's only a minor niggle really but I feel that my range of fire is being affected by this. Is there anything I might be missing?

VagabondStarJXF
19-07-2004, 10:09
I managed to somehow fix a problem with my valve.

I had a problem at the end of a walk on day with not having enough gas going through to recock my marker. When I got home I cleaned out my marker, checked all the parts etc. and found that the problem didn't go away. I even changed out my cup seal and o-rings just to be sure but to no avail.

After much swearing and ranting I calmed down and disassembled my marker again for the umpteenth time. I cleaned and reassembled the bits again, for the umpteenth time, but made one little change. I flipped the valve around from the way it was when I first took it apart (Believe me, I'm very precise about how I take stuff apart) and now it works fine again.

I checked the instructions a week later and found that I'd actually received my marker with the valve the wrong way round and that it's a miracle that it had worked at all, let alone for all these months.

Strange huh?

Looks kinda cool... but I don't think I'm going in that direction on this marker. Maybe on my next Spyder project which will probably involve a Rodeo again... with a 'Dragun: The One' kit if they'll work together...

or a Raven Nexion.

VagabondStarJXF

I'd sorta figured out the chopping problem had something to do with the feedneck. I was using the standard straight elbow that came with the marker. It was too long. That meant the stack was too high, way too high, and was effectively making the egg as useful as a gravity hopper.

I got a shorter elbow and chopping problem was reduced to near zero no matter how fast I fired.

All I need to do now is get the Lapco clamping feedneck and my stack will be as short as it can ever be without custom parts being designed and made by yours truly. I'm having trouble finding anyone who does it for less than $30 though and still ship it to the UK.

Here's a pic of one:

Tom
20-07-2004, 17:17
Oh no! $30! That's all of £15! You tightwad!

VagabondStarJXF
20-07-2004, 17:30
Yeah, I know!

The only problem is that it costs about $35-$50 to have it shipped over. So how much does that make it? hmmm... a maximum of about £45?

Yep... a real tightwad I must be!

Perhaps it's the knowledge that such a small item doesn't cost more than $10 to ship and yet companies like to charge a minimum amount that's more than the item is worth alone that makes me so... mean (?)... with my money...

I'm not that sure but that might have something to do with it.

Or perhaps it's the fact that we are so far behind over here in the UK, or just plain screwed when it comes to the world market, that I'm just a little bit bitter over the few pennies that others would scoff at?

I don't know.

VagabondStarJXF

I got sick and tired of trying to find a Black sight rail with beaver tail for my Rodeo so I've now painted my stock one black. It was something that I didn't really want to do but I kinda figured out a way of painting it in a semi permanent way.

What I did was coat it in Liquid Masking first then, once it is dry, I painted the colour on top. This way I can remove the paint from the thing like Patrick Bateman removes his face mask in American Psycho.

Cool huh?

VagabondStarJXF
23-07-2004, 01:02
I'd thought of that too so I tested it out a little. It's actually quite durable. I'd need to physically scrape the stuff off from one edge before I can start peeling it like an orange.

VagabondStarJXF
30-07-2004, 14:43
I'm in need of another striker bolt plug (Stock Part #26, 28 or 28I) for Spyders. I ordered one from the only US site that sells them seperately that I could find. Then they turned around and said they couldn't send it to me (Don't ask why).

If anyone has one spare or if their Spyder is kaput I don't mind taking it off of them. It doesn't matter what colour it is as I can always paint it. I'd prefer it if it's black though.

Anyone out there got one or know where I can get one?

VagabondStarJXF
07-08-2004, 20:45
I've done all I can without physically going to the States and hand picking the bits I need so I guess, until then, my marker is as complete as I'm ever going to get it. Here's my current stats and I'll try and take a pic of it tomorrow during the Walk On at Campaign:

Kingman Spyder Rodeo
Maddmann Springs Kit
Kingman ESP 3.0 IPI Electric Trigger Frame
Marksmann Adapter Block

I've also done a Matte Black Custom Paint Job on:
Sight Rail/Beaver Tail
All External Screw Heads

I've also got a Kingman Black Ball Detent but it needs some filing to fit perfectly. Once that's done all I need to do is get a titanium striker, get a black striker plug, do the flush cocking mod or get a replacement black sight rail with beaver tail, replace the electronic trigger frame internals and polish the body internals.

It sounds like there's a lot left to do but none of this can be done over here in the UK at the moment as a lot of the bits just aren't available yet. Until then...

I think I've learned a lot doing these upgrades. If anyone else is thinking of doing this to their Spyder I highly recommend it. You'll get to know your marker really well.

If you are planning to do these types of upgrades to your Spyder feel free to ask me for any advice if you run into problems. Chances are that I've probably run into the same problems. Anything I can't answer... I'm sure someone else will be able to.

One thing I will say, for pure ease while you're upgrading, I would recommend going for macroline instead of steel braided hose. You don't realise how often you end up removing your drop or your reg or your entire grip frame!:D

Have you got any friends over there that would take the cash off you via PayPal or funds transfer and mail the gear to you via USPS? This is often the cheapest way to get stuff from the US I have found.

I've met a few people via forums but not anyone I can trust enough with the funds that would now need to be spent.

Getting strangers to buy the bits seems to be difficult enough on its own, getting them to send it... Trust is a major factor if you can't afford to lose any money.

And then Customs like to take a major chunk for everything from the US with my name on it.

If you have something sent to you it has to have a taxable class on it, if the markings say that you bought it, you gotta pay import tax, if they tick the "gift" box then 99.9% of the time you are free and clear with the tax.

I understand your concerns, upgrades cost a lot of money that you don't want to be spending twice for the same gear.
How about a holiday? Hell, go to Vegas and win the cost of the parts :D

AAARRGGGHHH!!!!

I can't upload the pics of my marker in its current loveliness. Probably a good thing as I'm still waiting to get an Air Tank and Barrel kit.

I've decided that I want the Evil Scion as it's nice and black and has an adjustable reg which would take care of my high/low pressure woes. What I need now is advice on barrel kits. I've seen the SP Freak Kit and the Evil Pipe Bomb in action, both are very very nice, but there any others out there. Has anyone actually got one of these kits? Or know anything about them?

Stiffi Switch Kit
Empire Barrel Kit
3A KnockOut Barrel Kit
Hammerhead Kit

Action Markers Rx Barrel System
J&J Performance Edge
MACDev MatchStik Barrel Kit
Poison Products Poison Arrow Barrel System
Powerlyte Scepter Barrel System

I've had to remove my Marksmann Drop Forward and On/Off as the Evil Scion tank I've just bought has it's own rail system which isn't compatible with Apoc Dovetails. This was unforseen and unfortunate as it also means I have had to remove my steel braided hose too.

But no tears will be shed as I have endeavoured to use these parts elsewhere... I've fitted the Marksmann to my Autococker already! (and it looks mmmm good!) ;)

Here's a pic of Roxanne (I decided to name my markers! Hey! People name their pets, children, cars, boats and planes so why not, eh?). I've added a Redz Bottle Cover for comfort and to protect my beautiful new Evil Scion. It don't match but I don't care!

It ain't the best pic but I'm working on getting more...

I'd forgot to mention this after the last Walk On at Campaign...

After all this time of not being able to chrono above 250bps I had trouble chronoing below 380bps, even with my velocity adjuster dropped to minimum. It was hilarious. I had to miss the first 2 games because my marker was firing way too hot. All this because I changed my stock valve out to a Maddmann Rocket Valve.

I changed the spring down to a softer one and it was still about 320. I had to cut the spring to get it below 290. Funny huh? I was using a site air tank on the day (which my Torpedo didn't like) but now that I've got an Evil Scion... I can't wait to gas this baby up and do the final tweaks.

Here's another pic, this time without the Redz cover. The Armson Stealth is also replaced with my 8" Pro Series Armson.

I did a little searching for info on this one and everyone who has one (who was willing to respond to me) said that it's a waste of money at the moment. My Rodeo works fine as it is but I thought it might be a good idea, y'know, the anti chop eye thing on my next Spyder project... Then I find that Kingman are doing a marker with an eye. It's called the Raven Primal. I don't know when it's being released and I think it ain't the best looking thing either but then the 2 pics that I have might not be doing it justice. The ad is funny though.

Here's the other pic as I've posted the other pic elsewhere. Any thoughts on the Primal?

Thanks Dude! I've tried my best and spent more money than I'd thought I had so I'm glad that I'm not the only one that thinks it's turned out well!

Define "as good"...

I've pretty much held my own against Cockers, Angels (including the new Fly), Matrix's and even a Timmy before I went low pressure. My aim hasn't improved any :o but I'm staying on the field a lot longer than I used to! :D
The mods I've done... 'lays boot many times upon derrier at high velocity'... lol :D :p

OOOOOoooooohhhhh! It's so nice with the Evil Scion up and running on it!

First couple of games were a bit touch and go with my Torpedo reg failing a couple of times but all things went kinda well for most of today (Campaign Walk On Day 05/Sept/2004). My marker still needs the final tweaks done to the Rocket Valve just to get it running at optimal efficiency (my marker is hogging the gas a bit at the moment) but otherwise it's running so well that I'm firing even faster.

I think my stock ESP board may be slightly faulty as I managed to outshoot my eVLution 2 a few times. I thought it might've been the batteries but I still outshot it after new ones were put in.

I did start having a slight problem with my marker not recocking properly near to the end of the day. I've a feeling it's due to the new Scion reg starting to wear in but I'm not sure. I'm thinking of doing the final tweaks to my Rocket valve but if I need to wear in my Scion first it probably wouldn't be too wise for me to do so.

Am I right on this theory? I did have a little of the same trouble before lunch time but I increased the pressure a little and it seemed to correct it until the end of the day. I think I may be right but is there anything else I might be missing/forgetting? Are there any other theories I should be taking into account?

Okie dokie! I finally found this thread again!

I've been meaning to add a new pic of Roxanne and today, when I finally have a new pic to post, it takes me forever to find then access this thread! Strange thing is that it wouldn't load up... oh well... Here she is with the following changes:

Toxic Drop Forward replacing the Marksmann Addon
Chrome Bob Long Torpedo replacing the Black Bob Long Torpedo (It fits better)
Check It Products Sweetspot Trigger replacing the stock ESP trigger
Dye Microgauge replacing the Kapp microgauge (just for a black face)
Sight Rail stripped of Black Paint (it was heavily scratched and looked ugly as... it sounds)
And a Quick Disconnect fill nipple cover in Red and Black

I've not done an update in ages, mainly because I've not had the money to do anything. Anyway, since the last pic was taken I've got myself...

a Freak kit
a new Rocket Valve (long story)
a Dark Horizons titanium striker

and I've...

painted my sightrail/beavertail black
painted my drop forward black
shortened my egg's feedneck

I also forgot to mention...

I've replaced the CIP Full Force Delrin Bolt with a Spudnuk'l Nylatron High Flow Bolt.

Here's an new pic!

I'm planning on getting a t-board with breakbeam eyes fitted to my Rodeo now. I originally didn't want eyes on it as the eye covers don't look too good but I've gotten so fast now that I need something to control my ROF. The t-board is a cheap and effective upgrade which should, along with the ACS bolt, allow me to fire at the speed I need. I'm already maxxing out the stock Kingman board's 14bps so I'm sure I can manage 30bps without much trouble. It's a helluva lot cheaper than the XSF kit but it doesn't come with eye covers. You still have to do the drilling and milling for the eyes with both kits... If you're interested in the t-board upgrade for your E-Spyder here's the link!

Does anyone know a good place that does powder coating?

I need to know of places, any places, that do powder coating in the Croydon/Merton area. Even if it's just an automotive place. I'd like to check out thier work before I entrust them with my paintball parts.
