View Full Version : Best Paintballs
Just wondering what would be the best paintballs to play with with a marker like a T3 of a Paradox MF1?
Also where to get them and how much, as paint is getting dam expensive for me!
Thanks for the help

What hopper have you got? Your hopper is also a factor to be considered. Are you allowed to use your own paint at your local site? Or are you lucky enough to have your own space to play?

If your wanting to use it with My cocker then Blaze to the cocker has always been like Milk Tray to some bird in a tower.
OK BLAZE is great. Use it and you'll never use anything else.

Were do you get them from?
Paint is very much user preference. Some batches of one brand will be great, others will be crap. Some batches of another brand will be great, others will be crap. Basically, try a few dirrecnt brands then decide what you think is best. Some manufacturers paint may be very round and brittle, but have a really weak fill. It's all swings and roundabouts, try a few different types and see what you think. Most ppl who say "use brand X, it's the best" get cheap paint from manufacturer X. Personally, I like any paint that's round, brittle, has a bright, thick fill and is cheap.... But you're rarely going to get such a perfect paint.

when u get into tournys the averge price for a box (2000) is £cheap pounds.
Sorry folks this one stops here.
Quality
For general information. All paint brands can be excellent and all can be bad, it all depends on the batch and more specifically the drop test value.
As a rule Draxxus/Diablo is the most consistent for quality and could therefore be classed as the best.
Some small paint importers/manufacturers can only sell paintballs to teams as the quality is generally very poor (believe it or not poor quality paint will go through a top of the range gun much better than an Inferno or Tippmann as top tourny guns work on much lower pressure).
If you want proof of the best paint out there, look at what the sites are using through 800 psi guns. Sites after all are the pro's and make their living by paintball.
Prices
As for paint prices and the cost on sites, don't even go there. There is no site in the country that rips anyone off. At the prices mentioned above all sites would go bust within weeks.
There are lots of costs involved in running a site some of which you will never have realised. They include marshals, rent, maintenance, marketing, accountancy, solicitors, and the biggy INSURANCE which on some sites can be around £18,000 per year.
It is quite normal to pay £6 to £8 per 100 paintballs on a site.
If sites did not charge this it is sad to say that this shop and forum would not be here as there would be no such thing as paintball in the UK.
If you pay less for paint than this, then consider yourself lucky as your hobby is only available to you because sites charge a reasonable amount for paint and prop up the sport of paintball.
Don't spoil your enviable position by posting such nonsense on a public forum.
