Hi all.

I recently bought my Tippmann A-5 + Flatline + 12/20oz CO2 from the US on import, I'm seeing more and more about DOT/HSE safety standards on these forums ....

Does this mean that my 12+20oz CO2 bottles from the US are no good to me here in the UK ???

Also I seen for sale on Ebay a 20oz CO2 bottle with on/off & anti-syphon, I read on here that the anti-syphon had to be setup specific to the marker, is there no point in me buying one of these bottles if its already setup ?

Thanks in advance

:)

The anti-syphon has to be set so that it doesn't draw in liquid C02 into the marker, but if you bought it all as a package then it 'should' be set up for you already.

Thanks for the reply, however what I meant was ...

If my existing US bottles are no good here in the UK and I had to buy UK ones then would it be a bad idea to buy one of Ebay UK with the Anti-syphon already fitted ?

My mate had a UK marker and just bought an adapter to fit his US bottle to it. So I think a US and UK combination is ok.

As for buying from E-bay. You can buy it and just alter the position of the anti-syphon tube in it. I just found out how to do this myself....check out the 'sticky' at the top of this board.

And when I type a little slower I won't have to edit my post so many times to make it legible

The bottle fits mate, I'm talking about the difference in DOT(US) and HSE(UK) saftey standards and I have read that nowhere will fill my 2 DOT bottles that I have just purchased from the US :(

Sorry but yes, your bottles are illegal to fill in the UK and anyone who does fill it faces 5 years in a room with Ben Dover!
