If we were to set up a "Talkpaintball" Scenario team, would anyone be interested in joining.
Maybe do 4 official scenario events during 2010.

It will entail getting up early on 4 Sunday mornings in 2010 and enjoying ourselves all day, whilst spanking the opposition.

Ah, but lessons were learnt, sometimes in the long run it pays to learn the hard way. It only makes us stronger.

The England V Scotland game was a good one. Also it's only just over the border, and what's more there are hotels about 5 mins from the site that only charge £20pp and you get a massive full ENGLISH breakfast in the morning. - April
D Day to Berlin isn't too far away at Kidderminster. - June
Armogeddon is always around Yorkshire, so that would be a good one - July
Stargate is a must do - September

Thread moved to Scenario board.
Andy, there are a lot of Good games in the South as well, just means you have to travel. We come north so you could come south.......
Also that list of games will expand massively next year. Check out the 2009 list on UKScenario.com.
And yes we did get our assess handed to us but it still was fun!!

You are right Garage, i'm not sure which games are any good so any advice would be apreciated.
I think picking 4 games over the year is a good idea, that way we can get a good number of players as there is all year to plan.
There is a new Scenario organisation who are setting a minimum standard for scenario games, it may be a good idea to choose the games from those games that will be sanctioned by the scenario community.
I quite like the name "Talkpaintball Thunder" , but it's no dictatorship so any other suggestions would be welcome.
When we decide on a name, it would be nice to have a small graphic to add to each team members signature, if there are any budding graphic designers out there.
not a problem.
As for Graphics, The Nemesis Alliance has 3 people who work on our sigs/avatars, if you need help contact them via the Ukscenario forum. They are
Swiss, Scally and Matzy
Stargate is a must do - September
Where are you seeing staargate as after all the reviews last year i'd love to do it.
Team Name: Talk0WN4GE :p
love to do all of them
but i will still have my age old problem....... getting there

Children of the Corn was probably my fave of the year so far.
Nice venue, good crack the night before, good compact game, not too many people.
The Wild Geese game would also be worth going to if my experience of their game this year was anything to go by.
this sounds good count me in if thats cool
What about doing Red Dawn ?

07-10-2009, 10:25
I'm sure there will be a few lifts around.
Would we have to use ghay gats?
Andy-YPC
07-10-2009, 15:45
We can use anything we like, but if you prefer a ghey gat...... the choice is yours.
Monster.
07-10-2009, 15:48
Alex will have you wearing sashes! :D
I would quite happily join you for a few games and you may even be able to twist my arm into playing for the North in NvS. Any games you play down south i'd be more then up for. If anyone wants to play Children Of The Corn next year I live only bout half hour from the site and you'd be more then welcome for some sofa surfing.

You'll have to have a big sofa.
It would be nice to get 53 players in the team, that way we can fill a coach. All meet in one location and be driven to the games.
well dunno bout a big sofa but got a big garden for a few tents
thats a good idea that andy....
ie the coach that is
see you sunday
Yeh this all sounds pretty cool and a good idea.

Hopefully, if all goes to plan, it shouldn't matter where the game is, you just get on a coach at "Fat Bobs Shop", and get off at the game.
Im sure a couple of lads in zero tol would be up for this too depending on what touneys we got on at the time!

I've just contacted a coach company to get an idea of price per head and am using the Anan Game (England v Scotland game) as a guide.
If anyone else knows a coach company, if you could do the same.
The info I gave was.
Pick up at Fat Bobs Shop to arrive in Anan at 8:30am, then leave Anan at 5:30pm and return to Fat Bobs. On a Sunday.
I'll post up the cost as I get it.
So long as you don't mind having a beginner on the team you can count me in :)

It's a great idea.
I may have a proposition for you:
We're running a brand new event at the Prozone site near Annan where they host Scotland v England.
Our new event there in June 2010 will be a weekend long event with a proper scenario game on the Saturday, a night game on the Saturday night and the big game on the Sunday. Players can play all weekend or just Sunday if they want.
The theme of the weekend is the worlds most interesting wedding. The Saturday night game will be called 'The Stag Night' and it'll all tick down to the main game on Sunday which will be called 'The Wedding Day Massacre'.
Players will either play for the 'Bride' or the 'Groom'. Other characters will be the Best Man, Father of the Bride, Bridesmaids etc. There will be cake, incriminating photo's, massive fights, explosions - everything you'd expect at a decent wedding.
You get the idea. There's free camping and cheap hotels in the area.
I'm pretty sure that if a fair few of you came up that we'd have to find you some special roles.
For some reason, I've got an image of Lambchop being glued to a blow up sheep in the 'The Stag Night' game.................
..............but that's enough of my own personal fantasies. ;)
Anyways, have a think about it and if enough of you fancy coming up we'll have a chat and write in some special roles for the team into the game script.
Champagne anyone?

Sounds really good Tim, we're after 4 games to go to next year. It would be good to get together with you to try and decide which ones.
