Have posted this on other forums aswell but:
Hi guys!

Having been inspired, i'd like to conduct a 'project' :o
For this i will need a pump so if anyone has one they don't want. Not toooo fussed about condition as will probably adding a custom shroud, just need it to work properly - no leaks. Oh and i presume it will have a standard ASA size. Ie, fit a rental co2 bottle? (pump noob :D)
As it will be the first (hopefully of many) projects, i'd rather not pay loads as it will most likely go wrong somewhere along the line :D
Oh also, can pumps have new barrels put on them ?! (pump noob :D)

if you just want a pump then i would suggest getting an autococker and putting a pump kit on it. this will help you go from playing semi to playing pump a little easier. say wanting to put an pump into a shroud to look like a shotgun then phantoms, traccers, pgp, etc.

with barrels it will depend on the age and style of the gun. some have fixed barrels some dont, some will only accept a barrel that looks a certain way, some have specific threads. if you are looking to buy an aftermarket barrel try underboaring.

when it comes to gas there are too major differences. these are open class and stock class, there are also some hybrid wierdos but im not going to talk about them now :D

open class- to play open class you have a hopper and air tank connected to your gun. (this is what you most likely want)

stock class- ok stock class is about the most pure way you can play paintball, its how paintball was first played and still has a good following. ok so stock class guns normally have a feed tube that holds between 10/20 shots and is powered by a small 12gram co2 cartridge.

ah but a cocker isnt a pump. when you put a pump kit on a cocker is becomes a sniper and falls more into the sheridan catogorie :D

very true, a sniper is probly one of the most custamisable pumps you could get :D

well it wont be easy to do, but good luck :D

personally i wouldnt use a pgp for that (there pretty rare) but if you know what you want and your willing to work at it then good luck :D

well im not saying you shouldnt buy it :D there tidy little markers and if you can get it cheap all the better :D, but it would (in my opinion) be better kept as a side arm.
