empire is based on the 2k2 frame with shortened grip frame and new front lpr and has the frenzy board as all new empires and alias and off shots ie naughty dog,russian legion,atomix etc.
the alais is the new model for 2004 with a small frame and weight and milling and of course the price.
i own an empire and a naughty dog timmy and the both rock as does my new dm4 its all down to preference if your at the midland masters at elsham ask for neill from team spank and you can try them all out
