andy just a question bud

when you log on you can see all the threads that have new posts in
but if you don,t go into a thread and return later the forum does not show the threads that are new but unread
this makes the forum look like nothing has been posted mate:D
hope this can be adjusted as this does not seem to effect other forums
maybe why it seems quiet so people don,t post because they think there are no new posts
even after a day they disappear:confused:

They dissappear as new posts after you have logged on.
I'll see if I can change this to new posts over the last 24 hrs or so.

Wow, maybe 24 hours is too long, 4 pages of posts on "Whats New"?!

I think i get the jist of what Bisc is saying, when you don't look at a post on the Whats New section, but come back later and refresh the Whats New section, the original post you didn't view has vanished... I find this quite annoying aswell! Will see how the new time is but now i can see old posts that i've read aswell?

change it back, ever time you log in it shows all posts as new in the last 24hr even if you have read them

I know I've been away for a while (not like Shadys dad, in prison) but does anyone favour the older forum over the new or is that just me? if it's just me then I will start a terrorist network clled 'Students' and hide in the hills while sabotaging walk ons!

I took a screen shot of the old forum and it looks very dated now.
The new forum is just different. I didn't like it at first, but it is so much better than the old version.

I suppose the question should be, is the blogs and magazine sections used enough to warrent keeping them.

I have changed the post indicatord back to how they were originally.

You do have a point I suppose. But there are big spaces in some of the posts before you see what the post says? Not sure if its after someone has quoted someone else? It looks good but I am still learning how it all works etc and I'm a software consultant... jees!
