Just thought i'd ask if there is anyone else on here that plays paintball that is also a holder of a amateur radio licence.......
I am and so is another member of sub sonic and i just thought it was a coincidence we both had licences and were both into paintball so i wondered if there were anymore radio ham's out there.............. :eek:

As for amature radio, how does it work, what can you do ect?
And are you going to the big game?
deff @ the big game. as for the radio its a next stage up from cb but you need a licence and can chat to people all over the world.
Are you playing for the north?

oh yeah and as for the big game, the way im goin it looks like its gonna be N v S v ME :eek: no to be honest i dont realy know im goin with sonic and chris but forget which side it is.....

oh why not and i'v just had me player top printed.... i know ill get aload of cheap tops and have "BEANY" printed on the backs of em and hand them out to people when i get there.....:D
so then fleisher you wont be wanting one of me free tops then...
so fleisher if your on my side you still gonna paint me...
:p think i best invest in some body armour by the sounds of it..fat bob the body armour you sell is it anygood when you got loads of people wanting to shoot you :(

Thanks for the offer ,but there was enough " blue on blue " at last years NvS ,I doubt if it'll be any better this year:(
right iv got 10 free tops to give away special tops with "BEANY" printed on the back get em while stocks last only for the big game guaranteed to make you big game experiance alot more fun.....:D

Do you think Fat Bobs will do special NvS body armour for Northern players i.e. only armoured at the back.
I only got taken out 3 times last year all from North back players:mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

the only time iv been involved in friendly fire was at bassets pole when i used me shocker for the first time and the nite b4 i had "ajusted" me trigger and i think i must have moved or farted and it went off and i had a nice paint splat on me foot....dont want to panic anyone before the big game like....

Beany ,do you get to talk to any paintballers via the radio then ?
not as yet but im sure they'll be some out there thats why i put this thread on here, you can speak to all kinds of people on em i started wheni was 14 like and have spoke to people from "derby" - to places like france spain germany you name it....plus in has a wide band scanner inbuilt so you can listen to fm radio, air planes police, boats oh shit did i say the police i didnt mean that.......it aint as sad as it sounds some people call it the gentlemans CB......ill have to bring it to the big game cuz im sure thhy'll be others there with em.....im just tryin to get into packet which is using ya radio linked to ya computer, like the internet but via radio signals.....

why you need a license for that ?
to be honest i dont know supose one is becaus of the range and power of it,, that cant be right i dont have a clue...but when you get your licence you get a call sign which is individual to each person and each country starts with diferent letters. ie in england novice users start 2E1 and full licence holders start with a "G" i did have to go on a course one night a week for a year and then a city and guilds exam at the end of it.......ill find out and post the answer to your question:rolleyes:
I'll cut it short for you.
My theory is, as always, they are doing it for more money to be drained out of you.
I was just seeing if there was a proper reason for more hassle of the license.
good point apart from i aint got to pay ( dont know how much it is ) till next year cuz you dont pay till ya 21:eek:

You need a licence to transmit on those frequencies
yeah you need a licence like these PMR radios they have a range of 2mile ( if ya lucky) amateur radio can me transmitted all over the world from a radio the same size as a pmr radio...it tells ya all about why ya need a licence on the RSGB site,, www.rsgb.org ( i like this to say at the start of the thread people were sayin it was sad everyone seems to ask about it ) :p oh betty
