Hi, ive just bought a prodigy e-grip and want to upgrade the barrel, just i need to know what threads will match?

ive heard spyder threads are the same but want to double check and hopefully find out the right type :)

btw its made by viewloader and has the same thread's as the maxis, the orion and the triton and also the genesis 2.

It should be Spyder threaded. I've just verified with the Viewloader site and their replacement barrel description reads as follows:

VL Barrel
This 12" custom clear coated, two-tone barrel is made from anodized aluminum. The single piece barrel has the appearance of a two-piece design. The fluted and ported design provides improved accuracy and performance. Designed to fit Viewloader Genesis, Viewloader Triton, Brass Eagle Avenger, Brass Eagle Afterburner and Spyder semi-automatic markers.

I hope that helps.

No probs dude. Just go get yourself decent parts and kit, play well, play safely, play honestly and enjoy paintballing and I'll call it even! :D

I'm not sure what kind of barrel you're looking for but keep an eye out in Fat Bob's Forums classifieds. Someone usually has a barrel to sell. I had a clear out of a few last month (still got one actually) and I'm sure there are always more people out there who'll do the same in the future.

It's better that these things go on to better homes... (sob) :o ;) :D And it can save you £10-20 off the retail!

i'm thinking of a 12" dye boomstick as the stock barrel is only 9" so could do with the extra length plus ive heard good things about them

If you can get one cheap they're cool. It's the retail price tag that's a killer on that one. If not you could do a lot worse than going for an Armson Stealth. Get yourself a 16" if you really want the length. They have hex spiral rifling so it spins the paintball like a bullet on its way out. You control the spin in this way you decrease the size of your shot grouping and, therefore, increase your accuracy.

I've an 8" Pro which I find is fantastic despite it's size and a 13" Stealth (which I'm selling) which I use for the distance if I play in the scenario arenas.

The Boomie doesn't have the rifling but it is a high quality marker, or so I've found through my research. It's just a tad expensive new. I'm sure others would recommend it over the Armson range. It's about personal preference really! :D

Freak kit could be a worth while investment also. can also use it on any marker as long as you have the correct back!:D

yea ive had a look at the freak kits but they are rather expensive same as the bommie's.

been thinking about the teardrop atm due to the price.

The Teardrop is nice (the Stealth is quieter and more accurate though) :D.

If you like the look of the Teardrop you should save your money and get the freak kit with the Freak Front. It's the same look but it's the better barrel to get.

well i can't argue with that, gonna take me a while to save up for it tho, i'm going on holiday in spetember so need a lot of cash for that.

but after hols are ove i should be able to get full kit and barrel within a couple of months.
