Have you tried cocking the marker before adding the gas?

Actually it would probably be more pertinent if I asked where it's leaking from... Where's it leaking from?

heh, appears to be everywhere, the hose is fine its just once it reaches the volumizer compartment plus i can see the gas escaping thru the barrel

It sounds like the bottle is nearly empty which mean there's not enough pressure to cock the marker and seal the valve, thus co2 just leaks out.

i'm just wondering if it vcould be the o-rings or maybe the valve barrel that ive connected wrong as gas is also escaping thru the grip

that is the parts of my marker, i may have placed the valve body the wrong way round :s (33 on diagram)

if its not that could it be the o-rings, the bottle is full just had it filled.

Being that your marker is new it shouldn't be the o rings. Putting the valve the wrong way round would stop the marker from recocking but if gas is leaking from your grip too there might be a thread seal problem. If you have ptfe tape or blue loctite you can reseal your threads on your grip.

The easiest way to deal with these problems is to take it to your local site's airsmith on your next walk on and ask him/her to fix it. Either that or take it back to where you bought it. They should fix or replace it seeing that it's faulty.

ive left it with dave at justpaintball so i'm hoping he can sort it for me.

lesson learnt here, do not fiddle with things you know nothing about.

but tbh i think it ive put the valve body in back to front

Well, let us know how it goes. It ain't that difficult to mess up a marker. But, thankfully, it's usually just as easy to fix once you've got a clear diagnosis of what's wrong...

like with my 'cocker! :D

Or when me and vagabond got hold of my cocker had a laugh with it, stripped it, put it back and watched the paint roll out the barrell everytime the triggerwas pulled....the prob...bolt was in upside down!

then there was the time me and vagabond both blew my alias pressure gauge.....

lol :o :D

That's what we get for trying to follow instructions to the letter, eh? But then it wasn't any of our faults that was the prob with the timmy in the end... I think we just have bad luck with certain markers...

Namely yours and mine! :D  :D

well i had a bit of a thought, after what you guys said about easily breaking them and easy to mend i thought i would have a go as i had a vague idea to what the problem was.

so i went up to justpaintball and told them it didn't matter as i was gonna try nd fix it myself :)

so i stripped it down and i was right the valve body was in the wrong way round (whoops) so i corrected the problem and the marker works a treat.

done a few test shots in my yard (neihbours complained woot) and its tottaly fine, no ball chopping even after firing 140 balls, no leaking which is great.

i did snap one o-ring taking it apart but its on the rear of the bolt and it doesn't appear to be causing any problems. will replace tho heh.

only complaints i can really say is the bottle being too big for the marker and the fact it doesn't come with a drop forward as standard but no matter the larger bottle size is better anyway and i can get a drop forward from somewhere :)

will also help balance out the marker if the bottle is under the marker a bit more :D

i'm hoping so, atm my marker is really heavy at the back with the bottle being where it is, plus the fact its hard to look down the sight rail

If you don't like having the weight of the bottle physically on the marker you could try playing remote. It ain't for everyone but I think it's good to try out different setups until you find what's more comfortable for your style of play.

All you'll need is a decent remote coil with a slide check and quick disconnect (for when you want to put your marker down) and a decent harness that can carry your gas tank. These harnesses usually allow you to carry your tank on your back with your pods. I recommend getting one that has shoulder straps included. A full tank can be too heavy for just a belt on its own and gravity will pull your tank down to the ground as much as it can. When running this can be a problem.

I used to run a remote from a harness that was attached to my thigh like a holster. I thought it worked really well but just 'wasn't me' if you know what I mean?

If not I can recommend the Marksmann 'Addon' Drop. I found it had a good balance with my 20oz CO2 tank on my Spyder Rodeo and my 'Cocker. Not sure what it's like on other markers though.

yeah like vaga said, they aint for everyone, i tried using a remote with my co2, just to see how it was, but to be honest, with the drop forward that came fitted on my marker, and the other little tweaks, my marker is amazingly balance, so i love playing with the co2 tank attached to the marker.

whether to use a remote coil or not all depends on how happy you are with your balance i guess.. if you fell it weighs to much without the drop, maybe get a remote an harness for total of maybe £20 (love ebay). if youd arther sort the balance, get a drop (can be found at any price).

people do not use the sight rail to look down, just sight down side of marker and barrel. by the time youve lighned up sights on sight rail someone will have shot you.

Bloody Whisper

Just remeber that when looking down the side just turn it everso slightly to left or right to componsate for angle

So if marker is on your right side bring the front over to your left a tad:D

otherwise shots run a little wide
