View Full Version : Evo Cocker problem
Wondering if any kind soul could help me or know anyone near Sheffield that would'nt mind having a fiddle with it?
The problem is ... it doesn't re-cock itself.
1st pull of the trigger fires like normal but doesn't re-cock
2nd pull of the trigger just releases air
3rd pull of the trigger cocks the marker
4th pull of the trigger fires like normal and it all cycles again
Now I took it over to Fraiser at Challenge Paintball in Scunny on Friday, and after 5 long hours and 4 or 5 people tweaking it, they drew a blank.
Any ideas?
Cheers,

Might be down to timing. 3 places to seek help.
Belsales site (http://www.belsales.co.uk)
Belsales are the guys for Evolution Cockers, they might be able to suggest something, or
Moodypaintball site (http://www.moodypaintball.com)
Madcocker site. (http://www.madcocker.com)
All sorts of help for the Cocker owner there.
Hope this is of some help.
Sounds like the sear lug is slipping to me :)
Take the bolt out. Insert an allen key into the hole in the top of the marker (above the bolt chamber). You will need a decent reach allen key though. Screw the lug in a bit and see if it catches all the time and solves the problem :)
Can't remember the allen key size though... will try and adjust mine and let you know what size it is :)
Thanks guys,
We tried to get some advice from Belsales on Friday but they weren't willing to help over the phone
And ive only gone and left my allan keys at the Scunny site  I'll have to get some more and give that a try ... although I think Fraiser did do it, or at least I saw him jamming an allan key in their and swaring a little under his breath :p
Just out of interest... what is a sear lug as I know very little about cockers!
EDIT ... ive just found a diagram and im a right in thinking its the nobbly bit in the trigger that effectivly fires it?

The sear lug is a lug that screws down through the hammer and catches on the sear (the sear is indirectly attached to the trigger). When you pull the trigger, the sear drops down and the lug is freed, allowing the hammer to be pushed forward by the main spring and hit the valve stem! Easy really!
if you do get it fixed by yourself i would still take it somewhere and get it timed up sweet
