Which out of these two should i get for my Mongoose LCD?
1- HALO B
2- HALO B with RIP drive

People have been giving the rip drive a lower rating then the standard, why i dont know, but i dont think that i would need a RIP drive seeing as it has a light to show you when you are running low on power, therefore making the rip drive redundant.

SO WHICH SHOULD I GET?

I had a halo once that died on me with no warning. So I recommend the rip drive version.

DAMN i thought that the light was meant to come on when you are running low on power.

So do you play allot of speed ball them?

Who me? I only really play tourneys these days, though I'll be back down at YPC with the uni club as soon as the new term starts in October!

The problem I found with halos is that the on/off switch doesn't actually break the circuit. The halos even when switched off seemd to use a lot of battery power. I've heard this is fixed in the latest (Z-board?) version but even so, I'd storngly recommend physically disconnecting the battery pack yourself after a days play.

Yeah i think that i will have to do that then.
But my Egg does not fit the mongoose LCD, so how do i fix that problem other then getting the halo b hopper instead?

Sand the feed neck down till it fits. You will probably find the same problem with a halo - I did with mine.

You can get an adjustable feed neck or a collar so you dont need to do any sanding. Have a look around some of the online stores, you'll soon find them. I didn't fancy sanding and making the neck weaker at all, and cos i'm a lazy bugger.

I think you can get a Lapco clamping feedneck to replace the stock feedneck. It would be easier like Nealxs said. I've got one on my Rodeo. It's really nice and simple and holds my egg firmly all through the day's worth of play.

Use gradually finer sand paper until the hopper fits, then coat the neck and a fine piece of sand paper in water and sand gently, this should make more of a "glazed/smoke" look rather than a bodged job!

I don't suppose you've had a chance to check the feednecks on your Mongoose and Fenix to see if they're the same?

Oh btw, I bought my mongoose LCD yesterday, and found out that without air in it it can shoot 20BPS on auto!!!! Now i have to get a quicker hopper, bloody revvy!!

herrreeesjonny

You do not need to sand down revvys to fit into mongoose' much, use p60 paper and it should fit in a min of sanding!

I was thinking of getting a new clamping feed neck which does fit the style of the mongoose here at lapco (http://www.lapcopaintball.com/) as it does look good and will fit all hoppers (just go down the page abit. Then if i want to sell it i can put the stock on again. And yeah i am looking for a Halo B to try and keep up with my Mogoose (as it is a quick little git).
