View Full Version : Flatline Barrel
Is it honestly any good???????????????
I have an A5 and am thinking of getting a flatline but hear many bad things about them.
Are they much better than a normal barrel or do the balls go further but not with enough to break.
Is it durable etc?
I really am not sure.

i have three friends with flatline barrels on A5's and two of them love it and the other one says "he's just not used to it yet".
basically it seems it's all down to compramise, you would be able to shoot miles if you could be running it at 300 fps, but the sad truth is because of the negative forces on the ball when its changing direction so rapidly you cant actually shoot it at 300 fps without getting ball breaks (and the last thing you want with a flatline is a ball break).
however they still manage to get a much greater range with it shooting at only about 250 fps, and though the shots are not as accurate they can still be quite effective at long range if you use them correctly.
basically if long range really, really matters to you then its definitely worth the cons but otherwise i wouldnt bother, i wouldnt shoot one for the life of me, but thats because it just doesnt suite my style of play.
pro's:
long range
cons:
large spread especially at range
loud
bar-stuard to clean
gotta run at 250 or lower unless you use hard paint
expensive
balls float past at about 400 ft lol!
does not like site paint in the least atall ever!!!!!!
!!!!!
!!
hope this helps, if you have anymore trouble deciding i'll get one of my flatline chums to give you some info.
