My Angel has a small air leak but I can't tell exactly where from, can I use washing up liquid to detect where it's leaking or is there a better way?

do you know roughly where the leak is

Between the bottom line and the LPR. They're new and I think they may just need tightening up a bit more, but don't want to damage owt!

is your macro line the right size for the fittings

Yep, both fittings, macro line and bottom line are new.

My air was getting low before and I couldnt tell where the leak was from, have now found that it was from the small hole under the fore grip next to the pin that holds the LPR in place, so I stripped out the LPR cleaned and replaced it and its cured the leak:D

Many Thanks to Afro Dan.

All was working fine, went to the walk on @ fatbobs set up fine, chronoed and put the marker on the table and started chatting to other ballers as ya do. Went out to the first game and nothing: Spool valve had gone:mad:

Any who decided to send it to WDP for a full service etc.

Many thanks to all who've helped me with the new project.

ok, slightly different question, but still on leaks, just got my new cocker today (secondhand) aired it up etc everything works fine, however, i wasnt happy with the location of the bottom line thingy (macroline is it???) so ive moved the elbow to the spare port like ya do, cut the tube down, re-assembled it, and now it leaks!!! lots at first, but then gave it a twist around, and it dont leak very much now, just a very slight hiss. the problem appears to be that the rigid plastic hose doesnt enter the elbow straight, and as such is applying pressure, and i guess causing a poor seal. how do i go about bending this stuff?? do i have to do it with boiling water or somthing?? or should i just get someone to fit a new piece for me. if this isnt the problem, how do i go about getting the elbow thing to grip the tube solidly enough to stop the leak???

how did you cut this ?

did you use a knife ? the cut needs to be burr free and straight to ensure a perfect seal.

if you did this, you may need to look at getting an elbow that swivels to help accommodate the macroline, as it doesnt like to be bent and twisted around. because when you bend it, the seal is affected.

your macroline should always be as straight as possible at the air fittings.

if in doubt, take it to the shop !

I say this because i had a mate who nearly blew his fecking head off with a dodgy air fitting. and a dodgy reg.(hence the ban on second hand regulators on this forum)

yeh, with a knife.

seem to have resolved the problem by pulling very tightly on the hose, to lock the teeth in the elbow into the hose. had previously just pushed the hose in, and thought the air pressure would have been sufficient to clamp the hose. obviously not!!!

touch wood, it aint leaking!!! will get this looked at though, make sure its safe!!
