Hello,

I am comletely new to this and have spent hours researching which marker is good/bad for what i want (something to mess around with in my garden (i have big garden) and take rec-balling). I have looked everywhere for what i want - a pistol marker WITHOUT hopper
powered by 12g co2. The only ones that seem to be available are the PT Extreme and GZ 1000 (needs Hopper). Ok, prob is PT Extreme has recieved a lot of badreviews and i cant find anything else. Is the GZ 1000 ok, i.e will not chop balls to bits if i convert it to a 10 ball cartridge.
Any help would be good or if anyone actually has a pistol marker they can recommend including the site would be REALLY helpful.

Many Thanks

Hhhmmm, cheers but i think you may be biased as a moderator of a site that sell them, anyone else have a view?

If i spend out on this pistol i will definately want to take it into a game, anyone know any good sites in Kent where they let you bring your own equipment?

I can tell you that the pt xtreme looks VERY  nice, as I saw a few people with them at the big game. I don't know how well they perform, as i haven't used one.
I can vouch for the diablo sabotage tho, which you may want to take a look at (have a look in the classifieds, there may be one knocking around cheap), or one of the new game face markers (very nice looks ;) )

But if you're looking for something without a hopper, you're best of going for the pt (btw, why don't you want a hopper?).

The player or shot of the day (can't remember which), went to a guy that was running round with 2 PT 's at drug wars. So I am guessing there must be something in that.
Have never fired one myself, but the PT looks the more modern marker. I think there are mod's for it to run on Co2 bottles if the 12g cartrige becomes to expensive for a rec' ball day.

I own a PT extreme, a Gz1000, an old original spatmaster, a Splatmater rapide the list goes on an on. The PT extreme is definatley the most bling bling of all of them, but saying that it does carry the largest price tag as of yet i've had no problems at all with it. (And you can fire it "Gangsta stylee" :D :D )

When you say the GZ1000 needs a hopper not sure what you mean it comes with 2 ten ball tubes and the abiltiy to take a hopper if required. Unlike the PT which needs a Vertical adapter if you wanted to fit a hopper (this is a seperate item and not cheap).

When it comes to Chopping the main reason why you chop ball is youre trying to fire your marker faster than the hopper will load the next ball so as you aint talking about buying an electro semi this shouldn't be a issue. (before anyone else jumps on me yes I know non electro cockers can chop balls a treat if you can't use on one right). :D

The most fundimental difference between the 2 is the PT is a semi and the GZ must be manually cocked after every shot.

At the end of the day all pistols are just fun and not really used in mass or as a primary marker. So it all depends on how much you want to spend and what you want to use it for. Most recballers I know who own a PT only have it as a backup.

Me I only bourght it cos it was shinney :D :D

I'd say that he was more of a pudding... he's the right shape. :D

But yes, the PT is very good. As for the bad reviews, well every marker gets them, no matter how good they are. eg. some plonker gave the Angel Speed a 4 out of 10!

AND THIS ONE ?

ive got a PT and it dose what it says on the box i got the verticl adaptor for a hoper and a bottom line feed with non return meaning i can run around with it as a secondry using the 10 shot cartridge and 12g co2 or slap on a 20 ouncer a full hopper and my modfied 14inch ice cold and stand at the back poppin of the target

Only downside it wont take upgraded barrels other then the 9inch with muzzle break unless you wanna get crafty and do some modding

here is a new pistol that is just about to be released by armotech in the USA. its got swapable barrels , a co2 quick change system can be run on a bottom line, if u run it on a bottom line u can use the space where the co2 capsule would of be situated for a lazer sight or a torch which can be bought as a add-on from armotech...... and overall beast!!

you see ive a few tricks up me sleaves ive posted a thing about how to mod the barrel its knocking around somewhere in here
the good thing about this is you can take off the bottle still fit in co2 powerlet capsules and the stummpy barrel and holster it on me back

Its a sound job you've done on the PT...but doesn't it sort of defeat the object of having a PT ?

I think the next time somebody posts for advice and then accuses us of being biased when giving the advice ,I'll pull the thread:mad:

Fat Bobs will not tell you any old crap just to get a sale, there are plenty of other places you can go if you want that:( ,the Mods on here aren't picked because they work for Fat Bobs as none of us do we're picked because of our collective paintballing experience and small amount of common sense.

And the PT rocks ! :D

Remember that bit in Naked Gun where the sidekick guy pulls out a pistol ,then start bolting bits on - camera cmoes back 2 mins later and hes built himself an recoilless rifle on a beach buggy!

That's not a soda stream bottle is it.

PT does look good though.

A great fun pistol.
