it's shelf stacking in sainsburys :(

i'm looking for another placement, so fingers crossed:confused:
Work Experience... That's going back a few years... Flash Back!!
I spent a week in the local Library. Couldn't quite get my head around that stupid system for filing books... I ended up putting a How to Play Poker book in the childrens section (under 7's). Thats gonna be a kid that grows up to be a professional gambler..
Nevermind.
2 weeks of free labour for sainsburys, lucky them :)

unlucky :D my work experience involved computer animation and website design. why dont you go to a paintball field and ask to work for them....chances are they will say yes.
a site in bricket wood said it would be ok for me and i was your age when i asked.

maybe it will suit you though...seeing as how you cant spell experience ;)
joking mate :)
well, because they've moved it to year 10 arround here so i'm 15, plus due to silly insurance reasons a paintball field is too "dangerous"
i'm trying to get a placemnet in probus the local computer place but i don't know if i'll be able to do it, the guy said he'd give me a call

I think i was 16 when i did mine, bloody crap. spent 2 weeks working in an office full of women smoking all day and doing crap jobs like "put these invoices in to envelopes for our 600 clients, the machine that normally does it is broken"
bloody waste of time.

i never did work experience :p i just went out there and did the real thing
Paintball is not too dangerous, we get work experience people all the time, they usually become marshals after.
We have one starting today funnily enough. We have him every Thursday until July or until we break him when I assume we just ask for another.
The site must give details of PL and Emp liability insurance and give details about what the work involves.
Andy
He's not in the shop, he's at the site under Pete.
I think you'll find that if it was the shop then HE would be a SHE!!;)
In fact I feel a plan.

year 10....... rowers hotel in gateshead, bloody awful. i mean i wasnt aloud to work behind the bar:( . yet i was able to buy beer from the bar (or get it free just have my 'pay' reduced), so it was alright.
Year 12, just finished it, god it was awful. Went to the same place only i was updating their card based catalogue to a computer based one, a full week doing a database, and i didnt get payed or free beer. :(

I did my work experience in a computer shop when I was 14, I started working there saturdays and holidays, 4 years on we opened up a completely new business with government funding refurbishing old PCs and giving them to schools, also did commercial jobs like networking, domain installs, web-design etc. Ran that for 2 years. Closed due to lack of funding and running your own business is damn hard!
Opened a small I.T. business with a friend but he shafted me so we had to close after 6 months (we were makin a mint too!). Now I work in the I.T. department of a finance company looking after around 250 PCs (not just me!) on 2 sites aswell as their domain, net, e-mail etc.
There's a lot to be said for a good work placement!
i did a week working at the Reading Chronicle newspaper and a week sitting doing nothing in my parents motorbike shop........then when i was in sixth form they forced me to do work experience prior to kicking me out, and I got a placement at a local magazine that i couldn't really be bothered to go to......
but i had no choice, and it turned out to be not so bad, and then a year or so later they called me up and offered me a real job :D and its been roses for the last 3 years

yeap. i didn't find anywhere else, but because of appauling bus services arround here, i'm only working 10-3:30 so, not that bad, just beaconsfield is a chav town and a half
lol that takes me back, ive done work esperience three times, the first time i went back to my old school as a P.E. teacher (left 2 years before) my old tutor was there and we got on realy well i got in bit of trouble for getting it on with one of the students, :D
second time same again only next school up, kept it in my pants that time, just instructed and play games all day was cool, even got to go into the teachers room, omg ive seen less seedy strip bars.... (joke)
third time was into photography, so went to a D&P shop, they gave me rolles of film and sent me out to take pictures, was very cool.

i think a good place for work exp' would be in a morgue, as when everyones left, you could rearange the bodies into funny positions and when the people came back it would look like the bodies have been 'alive' and would be well scared (not meant to offend anyone, lol!!!)
yes, i can confirm that i'm loving working at sainsburys for nothing
