ay up

after about 8 years out in the wilderness, I've been bitten by the bug again

I'm thinking of easing meself back onto the paintball scene by doing some walk- ons...any ideas to decent sites around the York/Yorkshire area?

Who's site is it at Bramham crossroads (A64/A1 jnct)?

How would a HPA Level 7 promag automag fair nowadays?

Any old Jacuzzi 9mm out there?

cheers

Ain't nothin wrong with a Mag in tourneyland, I bin playing one for years, although it seems markers without a battery and computer are few and far between these days. Modern technology is a wonderful thing.............but I don't think it will ever catch on.
Play with what you know, if you can stand against a wall of Angel/Impy based paint, you can stand against anything. Accuracy by volume don't do a thing for me, one case - one kill?

one case - one kill
Now that is either bonus balling big style or a very bad shot!
2000 paintballs to take out one player:)

Why else would anyone want the capacity to shoot in excess of 15 balls per second. Even in winter I don't shiver that fast.
How many eloctro toting tourney players do you know that started their paintball life using a pump action marker? No many I'll bet.
(Reckon that'll stir things up a touch:) )

I did, I did. I started on a sheriden mind you that was all there was about back in 1990 and was still playing pump [tracer] two years ago;) ;)
Still wouldn't give up my angel for anything though, that might be because my trigger finger is far to lazy.:p

Plenty of walk ons about, just look on this site:D .
Premier you talked about are doing a scenario game in July called "Fall of the Roman Empire ",there are some posts about it in the Rec Ball section ,might be a good reintroduction to paintball.
Jaccuzi 9mm ?,know the name but can't place you, where did you play ?

hello fleisher

We didn't have a home site, but mostly played the northern circuit in 5/7/10 man tournies, including the NPPL, the Northern Classic at Whashton and the World 5 man at Finmere

Without sounding arrogant, we were well respected in our time,(big yawn!) priding ourselves on not cheating and were told on several occasions that if we wanted to go places we had to cheat..but we didn't..so we didn't!

My memory's buggared,so I had to ask me mucker and old team mate other sites where we played

We formed the team at Warpaint near Wetherby and frequented YPC (Northern Limited Paint Speedball..on video..yes!!) LSE,Barnsley;some place at Worsley:NTF;a place at Congleton who was run by a bloke who had something to do with a paint ball shop in Mabgate, Leeds and a place near Stoke that had a lovely smelling chicken farm next door to it

I know YPC and NTF are still on the go, but are any of the other sites still open?

Ahhh..the good 'ol days (sniff)

Congleton is still up and running, there is a walk on there this Sunday. Not sure if the site at Stoke is the same one, the current one is part of hotel / adventure activities complex. I know Wholley Edge was running back in them days run by a couple from Barnsley. Remember doing a televivsed Children In Need charity event there with various TV Stars years ago. Used to have photos some where.

The wooley site ( LSE ) is still running as I used to work there,
but Steve & christine Slavitch who owned it sold up ages ago to
paintball adventure sports (worked for them too ) they finished & its now run by the national paintball games network under NPG wakefield.

Plenty of memories there, Jacuzzi 9mm a real blast from the past.

Congleton was owned by Graham Wildman and run by Olly and Steve, who bought the shop at Mabgate from Hadwin who owned Warpaint when he ...went away....

Christine Harrison and Steve Slavitch no longer have LSE, if I am correct, Christine had the most awfull illness and is no longer with us.

That might have been ex- Terminator Olly Potts, who ,Andy may correct me, is something to do with Diablo now.
