View Full Version : ancient air system
Well..I've just bought an Air Fill Rig from FB and the snap/quick release female connector doesn't correspond with the male connector on my air bottle
Trouble is, the air system I've got is over 8 years old now...a Daystate Airstream system..(eh!) and the male connector is 11mm or 5/16" in diameter...which clips straight onto the bottom line
Does anyone know where I could get the appropiate female connector (they use to exist) to put onto the fill rig...assuming they have the same screw thread
Cheers

Hi boyzie mate.
If I remember rightly the daystate had the same fitting as the old govnair from planet.
they still do the converter www.planeteclipse.com click on fittings .£12.77 +vat
or ask Andy (fatbob ) if he can get you one.
or buy a nice shiney new nipple!:D
i have both daystate and govenair and the nipples are bothe the same:D
Thanks for the replies
I bought the govnair adapter, but it will only work with the standard nipple that my bottle doesn't have!
So I've bought the required nipple only to find that it won't screw into the bottle's on/off adapter because there's already a screw thread on it (as in the bottle screws into the govnair nipple)
Next plan of action is to forget the above and buy a new bottle and bottle on/off adaptor
Can you buy an on/off adaptor without a regulator as I've already got a drop down/foregrip one?...and what size are the adaptor threads that go into the bottom line
Jeez, me head hurts
