welcome back to the game of the gods mate .
obviously the game has changed beyond recognition since you last played. what with electronic markers (we dont call them guns anymore )that can fire over 15 balls a second .
games played on grass with inflatable bunkers (sup air ) & games played on fields with permanent large plastic tubes (hyperball )
If you want to get back into tournament play i would suggest you get yourself something like an impulse either new or 2nd hand or get yourself a bushnaster (no not the old pump but the electronic semi auto ). you could even go for a standard none electro like a2003 autococker and upgrade later with an electronic frame
such as an e blade frame .
obviously you will need a new hopper.
a revolution with an x or y board (revvy )
a sound activated revvy.
or an evolution mark 2 (eggy 2 because of its shape ).
you can get some good 2nd hand kit around.
you also need a decent air system (compressed air ) but make sure the bottle is marked hse standard (health & safety executive ) as that is the only bottle you can use in the uk so is the only type of bottle you can use in tournaments.
youve also got the choice of bottle sizes & pressures .
I would go for a 4500 psi bottle and system as you dont have to fill it as often. a 1.1 litre bottle is the average size that people use though they do come in different sizes such as 0.8ltr
1.1ltr 1.5ltr & 1.9ltr though the 1.9ltr bottle is quite big .
the other type of system is a 3000psi system these are cheaper but you nead to fill them more often obviously.
There are 5000psi systems but these cannot be filled legally in the uk.
make sure the air system bottle you get is in test & has at least 2 years test on it if you buy 2nd hand.
The choice is yous mate buy well and stay well .:) :)

Who dosn't call em guns anymore,
These are a couple of quotes from recently recieved PLANET ECLIPSE pamphlets.
" SO
NASTY
best gun i ever shot. period.
Dellas- eclipse factory team. "
And regarding the eclipse impulse vision
"New for 2003:LPR KIT FREE WITH EVERY GUN"
So not everyone one in the world of shiny tournement stuff calls em markers:rolleyes:

Ah but planet call them guns because you punters go out and buy a newer 'gun'. Who actually buys stuff of planet anybody teamed tourney players buy from thier cheaper sources and never have to look at a silly pamplet anyhow..;) :D :D
Its a marker, live with it and whilst your at it come out of the woods, that way you can get a nice tan whilst playing [just like me, a day of glourious weather playing on nice flat grass with not a root to trip you up in sight].
The futures bright, the futures orange, red ,blue, green, yellow in fact any colour you can get a nice sup-air field in

nice one TL I agree with what you say on the marker /gun issue though I like playing woodball as well as concept ball.
to me gun = inexpeirience
marker =expeirience.
Bod my freind if you look on the planet site you will find the site lists the contraptions we all use to chuck paintballs out of are called markers .(eg eclipse markers ...standard markers....marker accessories. not guns.
I know some people call them guns some markers but we would
all like this great game of ours to be recognised by the sports council.
We only missed it by one vote this time though we are getting there ,but i'm sure the people who voted yes thought paintball markers (positive thoughts) & the people who voted no thought
paintball guns (negative thoughts).
just my opinion folks so lets get some more opinions on this as fat
bobs forum has been a little sparse lately on posts though apologies for going of the original topic & thread hijacking.
so come on everyone lets get posting.:) :) :)

matts angel really rocks slayer .fires that fast youd think he got his paint for free instead of paying for it like the rest of the team.
He's only selling it cos our matt has this ingrained fear of keeping a marker for more than a month.:) :) :D .
Sounds like a good deal, will mail you matt. now lets talk air systems. i've heard people talking about Hi press, low press, nitros. whats the best system to use????
in my day as a barts stud squad player we had phantoms and that was a simple point and shoot, now it's all lcd this and pcb boards. Am excited about getting to play again, def want to go down the sup air route looks great fun. can't wait to be hit again to see if it still hurts.lol
with an angel it has to be a high pressure air system, theres loads to choose from the best been the angel air in my opinion. Only problem is they cost alot:( think they are bout £450 new. Anyway ive emailed yah slayer with more pics and news on a ir system i have.
Alan did u not know???? part of my deal with the team is i dont pay for paint lol:D
