View Full Version : NEW CE Approved 4500psi Fibre Bottles just in
Not only are they just in, they were only made 2 weeks ago, that's how new they are.
These are the ONLY bottles currently available that are CE approved.
If you are thinking about buying a new air bottle, STOP. All but the CE approved bottles will be illegal at the end of this month in Europe and it looks like in this country by this time next year.
Prices
£169.99 for the 68 Cu In Bottle
£179.99 for the 88 Cu In Bottle
Once again Fat Bob's are the first in the UK with a new product.

hi i brought one of the bottles but no one will fill it as it is not got a cert and do you sell a fill station for one 4500psi 88 bottle
Where did you try to get it filled? The big Pi sign (the greek letter) is the CE cert mark and as Fat Bob says, HSE bottles cannot be sold anymore. So I suspect the people running the fill rig didn't know what they were on about - certainly HPAC will fill the new bottles.

you can use hse bottles in england untill the end of their lives (being tested every 3 years obviously) which is about 15 years i think, but now you can only buy ce ones which can be used in all of europe, so if you wanna go abroad, get a ce. but DOT is still not leagal in england.
Let's go through the facts.
DOT bottles are an American standard and are illegal in this country.
HSE was the UK standard which has now been passed by the new CE pan European standard.
HSE bottles apparently can no longer be used in Europe, only the UK. For how long?. There is much speculation. Some say for their life, others (Like Trading Standards) say it will be a transition period which is likely to be less than 1 year.
So the HSE thing is a grey area. The more shrude paintballer will sell his HSE bottle as fast as possible while he can still get something for it and only add a small ammount to upgrade to a CE bottle. Others will wait until they are banned and pay the full price for a CE approved bottle.
As for filling:
Any bottle which has a capacity under 1L will have a CE stamp. Any bottle over 1L (68 and 88 CU) has the PI stamp.
Although this is new legislation, there is no excuse for anyone in paintball who is filling air, not to know this. If you have a problem with someone who will not fill a CE approved bottle, have them e-mail us and we will give them the info
Hope this helps
