i have found a guy who is selling his spyder electra DX, witha 20oz, 12v revvy, black freak barrel back, and blue barrel tip, plus all the original stock stuff, for $280 (£170).

is this a good deal?? i know i will have to pay quite a bit to get it shipped over here, and there may be import duties, and VAT to add on, but the same sort of deal from shops inthe UK is normally about £300 w/o the barrel parts, probably about £350-75 w/ the freak barrel...

is this actually a good deal, or am i just dreaming????

(also, does anyone know how much i would be likely to pay on taxes and import duties etc????)

Sees a good deal, however remember that if u buy from the us, if the thing arries and is broken, then you really don't have much comeback. Also, remember to get the person sending it to mark it as a gift on the customs form then you can avoid import duty. If it's all above board then it seems good value, but be warned thats it's far from risk free.

cheers tom.

i'll take heed of your advice.
i think the person is okay, he has good feedback from past sales, and it all looks good.

one can never be sure tho....

no thanks, i'm really looking at getting a electra DX or something like it (e99, imagine etc).

i've found another (possibly better) deal:

-electra DX
-stock barrel
-warped custom 14" stainless steel barrel
-all the stock parts,kit etc
-20oz co2
-12oz co2
-200 round VL hopper
-lube
-charger and batteries
-barrel plug
-extra vertical elbow

its supposed to be about a month old, in good condition, all for about $200, maybe less.

with the money i could save, i would then buy an empire reloader (from fatbobs ofcourse) anti syphon and on/off valve (are they really necessary??) and maybe mask, squeegee etc.

whadaya think?????

The reloader - I have only heard good thigs about them

On off valve - very useful if you dont want to be conmtinually blowing o-rings - basically they are hassle saving devices.

Anti-syphon - A MUST. Don't try to run a marker without one (unless its designed for liquid (some pumps used to be)). GET AN ANTI SYPHON ON YOUR BOTTLE. Thats all I'll say

yeah, i'm tryin to work out how i can get the fitted, as i dont know of any paintball shops near by that i could go to( i live near bristol which seems to be devoid of pball shops), and i'm not sure exactly how to fit them myself if i ordered them...

why is it that NO-ONE in the US has anti syphon etc??? do they not require it cus of the extreme temperatures??? or are they just foolish???:D

OKAY, not quite EVERYONE, but MOST of the people i've talked to on pbnation dont have anti syphons fitted, it might be i've only spoken to the fools who dont have them, but as far as i know, very few seem to have them...

i'm sure there are plenty of people with anti syphons, i just haven't met them.:D :D :D

how much do u have to spend?

unowho

£250, maybe £300 if i stretch, but i get this deal for £190 overall, though i would buy an anti syphon and electric hopper etc, so it would end up about £250 ish. it would cost me about £425 if i bought all this in england, (prices from planet eclipse)

if u have 300, u could get a nice impulse for that. Which is much better than any blowback mate
