Dear Sir/Madam
Thank you for your recent e-mail concerning the above subject.
As paintball markers do not deliver lethal force, their import is not
controlled by HM Customs & Excise. You may wish to speak to your local
Police to obtain information on appropriate storage/usage to avoid theft and
misuse.
Please see our website www.hmce.gov.uk, forms & public notice 1 A Customs
guide for travellers entering the UK. You are entitled to £145 worth of all
other goods including gifts and souvenirs but only if you travel with the
goods and do not plan to sell them. If you bring something in worth more
than the limit of £145, you will have to pay charges on the full value, not
just on the value above £145. If you are travelling as a family or group,
you cannot pool your individual allowances towards an item worth more than
the limit. You will have to pay charges on the full value of the item.

So do you have to pay tax or anything if your shipping say a 2003 vert feed cocker into the uk from america?
to be honest i dont know im still lookin into that one but when i find out ill add a post and let you know unless anyone else has brought out in from america.....
i do know that my girlfriends dad ordered a cover for a water ski boat, and the cover cost £180 and he had to pay summat like £30 tax on it but i'm not sure how the tax thing works....

Dont forget the 3% import tax aswell DW
I imported my Electra DX. The cost of marker, VL 200, 20 oz tank + delivery was £177.19, cost of import tax was £25 'ish, so I will say that the grand total is £205 as a round figure. You can skip some of the tax by having the seller mark the item as a gift.
A couple of months later Planet got them in (only place I have seen them in the UK), there price for marker alone is £263.49. Same spec'.
For me it was worth it. I can understand people wanting to buy from the UK, but I have paid my money, taken the chance & all has worked out well. Have put a lot of paint through it without a hitch.
On the same respect, I buy all my goodies (i.e barrels, spring kits) from the UK.
