if you take your mouse out of the screen even for a fraction of a second then your time restarts:(

yes you can, go to the opposite side of the screen very quickly, right into the corner and it will miss you.
as for the guided missile, just run your cursor round in a circle and the misile will eventually give up and explode. try your hardest to stay on the screen though or your time will dissapear and start afresh.

and yes i was very board at the time and spent nearly 2 whole hour's playing the game!!
