Can anyone recommend an Air System for an eclipse cocker. The marker is on display in the classifieds under bargain marker clearout and when I get it i'll be wanting to put some air in it and blast away. I haven't got a lot of cash because I spent it on the marker but any reviews/ suggestions would be appreciated.

How much do you have to spend?

Whatever you buy, make sure it is CE approved. It is now illegal for a shop to sell you a HSE bottle.

only 0.8 3000psi but its quite cheap, and that cocker should be efficient;)

its not me selling it, just thought it would help.

(On reading this through it sounded a bit negative, thus DISCLAIMER: This was meant to be constructive!)

I wouldnt bother with 3000psi to be honest. My cocker has a 4500 and 1.5 litre tank and i get about 1500 shots from it. Therefore

3000 psi 1.5L tank = 1000 shots
3000 psi 0.8L tank = 500 shots

Not that great really. I would go for at least a 1.1L bottle and overall 4500 psi system. Having said that, you probably wont find a full setup air system for £60 anywhere else. Check the bottle is HSE or CE if buying second hand or CE if its new.

Hope that helps,

Tom

Thanks for that. I'll wait for the marker to come through and then I'll probably go with a 4500psi ce bottle from the great bob. I noticed them on the site. Is there any particular differences between regulators?

Modern regs are pretty much all 4500psi. The main differences are price, consistancy and whether they have preset (usually around 800psi set output pressure) or adjustable output pressure. The preset one are cheaper however since most people have an inline reg into their marker, it is questionable how important having an adjustable air reg is. Of course if you plan on running the air straight into your marker without an inliner reg, then an adjustable air reg is more important.

Hope that helps,

Tom

PS FatBobs used to have a preset reg called the Hyperflow, however can't find it in the shop. I used it at a tourney once and it was decent - you could email Fatbob if you want more details of it.
