Hey all, I recently got hold of a Splatmaster, but got a little problem. When I stick the co2 case in and tighten the plug I hear co2 coming out, (I can still shoot when it's doing this) but when I try to tighten it any more, it just releases the whole lot! Any idea what I'm doing wrong plz?

Always confused

Wow, it's a long time since I have sorted Splatmaster problems.

You can fix this quite easily.

It sounds like the bung is not holding properly (this was very common on splatmasters as the screw thread in the handle used to wear.

Take it apart making sure you watch very carefully how it comes apart. Especially watch for a small spring firing out as you split the 2 halves. This spring sits under the detent ball in the barrel.

When you have the 2 halves of the pistol, lay a large piece of sandpaper on a flat surface. Then take one side at a time and rub on the sandpaper, do the same for the other side. This will make the bung thread in the handle tighter.

Re assemble and there you go. This should sort the problem.

Any more retro gun problems, questions on a post card.

Andy

Hey, thanks very much. That seems to have sorted out the problem nicely!

I don't suppose there is any type of upgrade for the standard bung? Anything that might be slightly quicker to change?
