BT Apex Barrel
Banned in US tournaments. This barrel enables you to shoot round corners, control the direction of the curve, control the amount of curve and when the ball starts curving. In short you can shoot at people behind trees
Diablo AR1
The latest cut down version of the Wrath with all the wrinkles ironed out. New internals, new feed neck, new barrel.
Indian Creek Promaster 05
We have waited and it's finally here. The 05 Promaster by Indian Creek. Absolutly awsome.
There is a new range of goggles arriving in the next few weeks as well. Keep watching.

How the hell would you beable to shoot round corners? is it bent lol and how do you but curve on it?
The existing Tippmann flatline barrel is bent, this causes backspin on the ball, just enough to curve the ball upwards. With the drop of the ball over a distance this keeps the ball level and ultimately fly's further.
This barrel has been develpoed by BT (Ben Tippmann). The end of the barrel is rotatable and there is a slide on the side of the end which increases the bend of the barrel at the end.
As you push the slide, it increases the bend on the flexible part of the barrel. So in practice it is an adjustable flatline barrel that can be rotated to bend on a horizontal axis as well as a vertical.
Anyone who watches Beckham take free kicks or plays golf and hooks or slices a ball will understand how it works.
As you rotate a sphere you cause a side of low pressure and a side of high pressure. This causes the ball to swerve.
So really it's an updated Flatline barrel which can be adjusted.
At the moment we have them with Tippmann 98 / Bt and Spyder threads. Over time more will arrive with different threads.
Apparently they work so well that the NPPL has banned them for use in tournaments in the US.

Try thinking out of the box dude.
Instead of the shooting round obstacles to get our opponent, how about the using a human shield and being able to curve your shot around them point of view  ;)

that barrel sounds good. one of my mates have just ordered a diablo AR1, so hopefully it shoukd be nice :) any other views on it
i don,t think you would be all that popular at walkons with that
What would you rather play against, a ramping electro or a Tippmann with an Apex.

definatly (sp) a ramping electro :p . i have a chance to hide behind a tree then :)

The barrel is amazing but its like the lazy way to play paintball, no skill needed...
but if the flatline curves the ball at the end of flight anyway, cant you just tilt the while gun instead of this apex thing.
the lazy way to play paintball, no skill needed
Thants what they said about semi's, electro's, and then ramping.
true but with out all that it paintball would be crap:D

You'd be wrong, broke a ball in quaters today and shot one of Ignition in the face round the corner of a T-bag from the balls curving. Never have i been so happy to brake paint :D

Indeed, quite scary if the hill billies get 'em :D
so in uk tournys i.e the masters , series 2005 etc you would not be pulled out by a marshall
thats wot i thought its basically cheating anyway
there is quite a learnng curve on it

Any other barrel on the market (for an Ion) that gives you the flat line distance? without the fannying about with curve balls?
Please say there is and stop me ordering an Apex state side
Mr. Longbeard

Chill mon,
You can't get 'em impulse threaded in this country, yet
and to be hounest being eliminated with 1 shot round the side would piss me off

Ideal for the speed ball pyramids, would still nark though, hmmmmm $119
Dangerous ground ,banning new paintball stuff at the drop of a hat, what firm is going to go to the trouble of financing and developing new kit if its just going to be danned on a whim.
But i agree with Gasman the barrel would be good on a static game but not to good on a fast moving game, to much ajusting needed. All new gear and markers are a trade off against ,COST ACCURASY,RATE OF RIRE & RELIABILITY, you've just got to make the right choises for yourself and how you play the game.
Just remember though, even though you do have to adjust the barrel, in a fast moving game you would just move the barrel to compensate. In exactly the same way we do now.
Shoot, see where the balls go and adjust accordingly.
Very good idea for scenario and particularly clever for tourney, but they look like shit! I'm not sticking one of them on my EGO.

as was said banned in american tourneys so we can safely assume it will be banned in the british tourneys but it will still be fine to use in ze woods while you pretend to be at war with ze germans or something like that any ways why would a tourney player be wanting a barrel like that where you take yourself outta the game for a while while you adjust the barrel to shoot someone whos behind a bunker when by the time you've done that guy is no longer there and your the last guy in your team on the field and you can't even shoot straight???
